i havent got anything on my teeth yet, but when i get my teeth pulled out, after you had your mouth numbed, did you feel the dentist pull your teeth out? did it hurt?
i had like the worse buck teeth but i got an appliance its a retainer like thing that widens ur jaw so u can have braces without puling teeth and it prob. sounds like it would hurt but it only does a little bit compared to getting teeth pulled
when you smile can your see that your missing teeth? cause i am getting braces on the 31st of may and i might have to pull out 2 teeth on the top and 2 from the bottem, but i dont want people to see that i have teeth missing

I'm going through exactly the same thing right now. They pulled my 2 teeth out in July and its been more than 3 months now but the huge gaps haven't closed at all. How long did it take to pull all of those teeth together again? I asked my orthodontist and he said it would take the whole process- means 2 years for me to have them back together. I was about to cry right there..

ughh these seperators are killing me!! i got my braces & then my teeth pulled out now they put on these annoying seperators back in my teeth & im going to see my dentist again on monday. i have no idea wuts he gonna do but i hope he takes these seperators out!!
I had a pretty bad overbite too but i was lucky they didn't pull any teeth. They put these screws in my gums and some elastics to bring some of the teeth up. That made enough space. I was scared I would have to get 4 molars out :S. I also got damon braces which i think are a bit better for that. I'm getting them off on tuesday, yay!

The only good reason of geting your teeth extracted is that braces don´t hurt like they would without extraction. I got 4 teeth extracted and a week after I got my braces put on. They don´t hurt because braces have more space in your mouth to work on, therefore they will not feel as painfull as braces without extraction. You will also see faster improvement on your teeth position. BRACES WITH TEETH EXTRACTION = NOT SO PAINFUL AT ALL.

it dun hurt that bad when they pull your teeth you can only fell them pulling the teeth but not any pain but when the anestetic wears off it hurts and your not allowed to wash your moth for a day so you have to swallow your blood or spit it out and if you spit it out more blood comes out of the tooth

when i got my teeth pulled out so i could get my braces on it hurt like hell. i have 4 teeth out in one go and in total i had to have like 6 injections on each side witch hurts so bad, then after 10 minuetes they gave me more injections the 10 mins later i was ready to have the teeth pulled, i could feel them pulling the top teeth back but not the bottem teeth and i could hear like a crunching sound. all day i was drinking liquids cus my mouth was in pain. i hope i didnt make you feel nerves xxx

@stinesturr Hi, when I went to the oral surgeon, it didn't hurt, it feels funny, your brain is gonna tell you that the teeth aren't there, and I felt like an old lady, you just have to ignore it=) and it goes away, then what three weeks later your getting the braces, the spaces won't be there anymore=) don't be nervous, relax, and get over with xd good luck

when you get a tooth pulled, it will only hurt for that day at most. the next week it will feel weird, then it will feel natural.. till the next tooth comes in. the day of it the day that sucks, otherwise its not a problem!
No I was prepared for the worst and when it was done I was surprised at how quickly I healed. They will give you pain medication and I took it a couple times but that was it. nothing to be worried about, you'll do fine.
they pull the tooth back to close the gap from where I had my teeth pulled and then they will all come together and I will have a hollywood SMILE!!!! YEAH!

In my case it was because I had such a bad overbite. When you are a kid/teenager your mouth is still cabable of moving since I am an adult I am done growing and adjusting, so that's why I had teeth extracted.
No it doesn't hurt when they putthem back on or in your case when they put them on but after they feel really tight and sore. My pain lasted about a week to the day1 Hope that helped.

I am going to have braces for 2 years (clear on top, of course)and have had 4 teeth pulled already, Good things is I had it done under general anaesthisia so I cant remember much.. well, i got my extractions like amanda but at the bottom about a month and a week ago. and man, it was so painful!!!!!!!!!, and it was even more painful because i had to wash out with salt water the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, damn it was so pianfull but i am goin to put the springs like you amanda in 4 weeks cuz i am away on vacation in ottawa canada. good stuff. its all about the health.

The only painful part of it were the numbing injections. [especially the 2 injections on my top gums] it stung badly...
BUT i pretended that it was actually an ICE COLD feeling, so it was okay the 2nd time.

Hi Amanda, just want to conform with you, are you using Damon braces system?
As far as I know damon braces system no need to extract teeth. And should to be comfortable compared to traditional braces.

No it doesn´t, because your dentist should apply local anesthesia to you, however you may feel a little pain afterwards.

they inject anasthetic so it doesnt really really hurt but the injection does quite a bit, then the next day they ache so much :(

@stinesturr Hi, when I went to the oral surgeon, it didn't hurt, it feels funny, your brain is gonna tell you that the teeth aren't there, and I felt like an old lady, you just have to ignore it=) and it goes away, then what three weeks later your getting the braces, the spaces won't be there anymore=) don't be nervous, relax, and get over with xd good luck

@stinesturr hey=) your welcome it takes about a few months like two or three months for the space to close because you go to your orthodontist like once a month, so I guess like two or three months

when you get a tooth pulled, it will only hurt for that day at most. the next week it will feel weird, then it will feel natural.. till the next tooth comes in. the day of it the day that sucks, otherwise its not a problem!

No I was prepared for the worst and when it was done I was surprised at how quickly I healed. They will give you pain medication and I took it a couple times but that was it. nothing to be worried about, you'll do fine.

they pull the tooth back to close the gap from where I had my teeth pulled and then they will all come together and I will have a hollywood SMILE!!!! YEAH!

In my case it was because I had such a bad overbite. When you are a kid/teenager your mouth is still cabable of moving since I am an adult I am done growing and adjusting, so that's why I had teeth extracted.

No it doesn't hurt when they putthem back on or in your case when they put them on but after they feel really tight and sore. My pain lasted about a week to the day1 Hope that helped.

Hey Amanda! At the age of 27 I have finally found the guts to go through with it all. I am going to have braces for 2 years (clear on top, of course)and have had 4 teeth pulled already, Good things is I had it done under general anaesthisia so I cant remember much.. well, i got my extractions like amanda but at the bottom about a month and a week ago. and man, it was so painful!!!!!!!!!, and it was even more painful because i had to wash out with salt water the next day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, damn it was so pianfull but i am goin to put the springs like you amanda in 4 weeks cuz i am away on vacation in ottawa canada. good stuff. its all about the health.
