She just wanted to keep her sister's dream alive- but she died too, and where her sister had written her wish: "Please bring Mom back to us- and my big sister" in the first season Sayo saw this and started crying. (T ^ T) so sad...

In the first series it was actually indicated that she stayed out in the rain during a severe storm so that she could protect a garden of flowers that was precious to her. It is presumed she either caught a severe cold or pneumonia soon afterward and at some later point died of illness.

I can't remember which episode exactly, but it's at the end of one of them, it's not a hidden easter egg or anything though.  The only way you could miss it is if you were skipping scenes or something.

In Japanese, it's pronounced "sah-yoh", so it pretty much sounds like "sai-yoh."I don't mind them anglocizing a few names to make it easier, like "sei-yoh" and "kuh-zoo-mee." However, Things like Asuna becoming "uh-soo-nuh" get to me. xD

@YueLover91 Funny thing is, the Negima!? anime and Negima Neo manga aren't really "based" on each other. They use some of the same story ideas (both new and borrowed from the original manga), but they were actually concurrent productions which started at exactly the same time; in fact, that anime started airing a month before the manga began serialization.

Well, this is more like an alternate universe setting of Negima, a completely whole new series of the anime. I wouldn't call it a second season per se.

brokensoul is right; it doesn't really fit in with the manga at all (especially when you put Motsu into the mix). It was the second Negima anime made. Ken Akamatsu himself hated the first one ("Negima!"), I hear. In a good way.
