Start this level buy building a gatehouse. run a wall over and build one of the tall skinny towers. build a mercenary post and buy a few archers. put a fire holder in the tower and send up your archers 5 at a time once you have 10-15archers with flaming arrows. none of the pigs troops will even make it to the keep to attack your lord. THEN build whatever you want and kill the pig at your liesure.
i think i kill him in 4 minutes , sold everting i have including food on market , , constructed 2 house , and buy all assassins that money can buy , off course when the game star i constructed a mercenary camp near to the pig
your playing style differs quite much from mine because you dont use defense like towers etc in the beginning. fact ist that this mission is quite easy i nearly made the whole march now. i would always use bread for food, for a longer game it´s much cooler i think cause you dont need that much farmland. small trick: by pressing - you can lower game speed. useful in the beginning of a hard mission. btw: dont you leave unnecessary much space between your buildings?
The biggest hint for this mission is one word: ARCHERS Make towers and walls and put plenty of archers there. Pig's economy wont work at all because all of your archers will kill his farmers and soldiers. Then put balista on towers and make some swordsmen and he is done for.
@zanypredator97 yes but with a few differences like only placing food buildings on oasis as ur in desert, arabian units and a few diff buildings i think :) still very fun with a graphics upgrade
it wasnt hard mission to me, tho i used a bit different tactic. very early i put towers on top and bottom of the map near grassland bought enough of arabic archers so that pig wouldnt get any resource... after that i builded one more bigger tower and placed ballista or sth like that on top of tower, that thing has big range so i easily killed x-bows with no treat 2 me. by selling wood sone i bought some arabic swordsmen. everything else was only matter of time. but i think u was a bit faster :)
Umm lemme check real quick. Just 21, 22, and 23 are all that I don't have done, besides 20 of course. I can do 23, I just trick the comps by making the lord go to an enclosed castle BEHIND the keep. Then they don't attack, and I can just farm stone and use it for my food/income, then over a long time kill the rats. Unless you have a better idea... But 21 and 22 are tricky for me.

omg cant win this mission i made normal archers first and put them under wall i killed like 150 crossbowmen and i sold spears to make money then i made some balista's and shields and like 30 crossbow men but i cant fuckin win!!!!
@jenok123 hmmm....If you can get something to break the pigs granary or armory from the start you can make his economy suffer more than need be. I usually do a trebuchet and surround it with walls
it will look something like this:

where t is the trebuchet. If you need to keep range people you can always delete stairs leading to walls. Its more economic when short on stone.

This mission is way easier than this. All you have to do is do this:
1. Build granary.
2. Build mercenary post.
3. Train as many assassins as you can with your money.
4. Charge once you've got them all.
I won it easily with that. I beat plenty of missions that way. Also, if anyone doesn't know, placing wells at choke points screws the computers over, because they are forbidden to attack them. So in some missions you can just place like 6 wells to cover yourself instead of walls.
Strange strategy, this mission is easy. But i played longer, maked a slow and paintfull death to him, by bacrupting him. And the strange thing in one mission was thet i olmost destroyed pig he just had 1 house but some how he maked 4archers and 7fighters those pigs. Having nothing just a house that was strange. But won it :D
The Assassin strategy is good ^_^ I enjoy using it with flanks of heavy armored units (or medium at times) to draw attention away from my assassins while they do their job~
thats an easy mission all you need to do is build a massive castle with loads of archers and build all of your farms behind the castle to prevent them from getting destroyed then you attack them with loads of swordsmen which will mince through their troops

dude u can use Trainers if u want through whole game! but theres no point then! cheats are mostly used for when ur stuck a level and you just cant complete it.

A really EASY AND FAST way to beat the pig and various other 1v1 lords that are in close quarters is to build granary and arab camp, create 10 horse archers (by this time he will have about 6 or so macemen) and park them out the front of his castle. as soon as you have peasants back build 10 assassins. pig walks out to chop up your horse archers, out of macemen safety then u kill him with assassins. easy win takes about 5 min and <2000gold

Tip: When you put the good stuff out like the statues and all of that the less items you will get from your ppl but your troops will get a bonus but if you put the bad stuff out like the stocks and all of that your ppl will give about 1 to 4 more items but the bad thing is that your troops will get a minus 25% and it will bring your population down 5

um can anybody explain to me why everybody else's game has nizar and emir omar but I don't?? i finished all the skirmish and historiacl campaigns. the cheats aren't availalbe in my game, but everybody else who has the game has all these cheats like butt sauce and stuff. i can see you don't haven't played Crusader long enough... If you had, you would have known that the first 10-12 missions can be finished in 3 minutes, by building the mercenary post , then setting Assasins's rally point on the opponent's castle and rapidly clicking on the assasin icon untill you spend all your money. That way you can finish the mission in less than 2 minutes!
Churches are normally good for the popularity bonus but as your population grows so must the churches. Just keep in mind who you are fighting when you build a church, some AI's need more troops to defend against the others. First set up your economy, tax adjustment, selling abundant products, and then start military, you cannot go wrong with a mercenary tent at the beginning if you got gold to burn^^ but do go to European troops, they cost less to make but take a few to make,
Heya thanks for commenting and sorry for the late response, If you use this strategy build some portable shields as well, keep the ratio to what best suits you, shield cost like 5 gold to make and can save you the gold of making Arabian archers over and over again.
You can do this with other AI's as well and if it is out of reach adjust the "Attack Ground" option so that the ricochet into the opponent's buildings.
assassins don't work at this mission, just at the first one with sultan...i tried it, trust me...pig does crossbow men very quick and you get owned. :)..i finished it easily though..just do like him, crossbow men and build catapults and protect your quarry cause he kills you oxes and start attacking with the catapults then put your crossbow men in a tower near the quarry and start attacking. meanwhile buy assassins like 100...just sell stone...:) he will get owned..try it!
I know that there are rush methods here but I try not to go for it, since rush is not really playing the game in my opinion. MagicGladiatorLV this is not even my best strategy this was just a simple one, ask people that have played me online I can get more strategic and waay better than this.

3. Build mercenary post.
4. Train as many assassins as you can with your starting money out of the peasants gaining. Charge with all you can train.

This mission is easy because when your castle is built the pigs quarry is in range of your artillery. From there you can just wear him down.

crim u killed pig in the long way, you had to do some horse archers and then assasins,u have build more quarries and iron mines for money,and not more then 3 apple farms

Lol, dude this is sooo lame, I played this game some time ago and this mission Isn't worth more time then 3~4 mins, or less... just make the house were you can make the people with costs only money, and mass the right armys, then you can take It without a base really fast.

um can anybody explain to me why everybody else's game has nizar and emir omar but I don't?? i finished all the skirmish and historiacl campaigns. the cheats aren't availalbe in my game, but everybody else who has the game has all these cheats like butt sauce and stuff. Do I have a different version or is my game fucked up?

i can see you don't haven't played Crusader long enough... If you had, you would have known that the first 10-12 missions can be finished in 3 minutes, by building the mercenary post , then setting Assasins's rally point on the opponent's castle and rapidly clicking on the assasin icon untill you spend all your money. That way you can finish the mission in less than 2 minutes!

Churches are normally good for the popularity bonus but as your population grows so must the churches. Just keep in mind who you are fighting when you build a church, some AI's need more troops to defend against the others. First set up your economy, tax adjustment, selling abundant products, and then start military, you cannot go wrong with a mercenary tent at the beginning if you got gold to burn^^ but do go to European troops, they cost less to make but take a few to make,

One tactic I like is to build mass horse back archers and pick off his guys from his wall and rush my troops in.

Heya thanks for commenting and sorry for the late response, If you use this strategy build some portable shields as well, keep the ratio to what best suits you, shield cost like 5 gold to make and can save you the gold of making Arabian archers over and over again.

I've really never used them before. I don't don't notice any helping effects even though I know what they are suppose to do.

This is actually a good strategy :)
You can do this with other AI's as well and if it is out of reach adjust the "Attack Ground" option so that the ricochet into the opponent's buildings.

assassins don't work at this mission, just at the first one with sultan...i tried it, trust me...pig does crossbow men very quick and you get owned. :)..i finished it easily though..just do like him, crossbow men and build catapults and protect your quarry cause he kills you oxes and start attacking with the catapults then put your crossbow men in a tower near the quarry and start attacking. meanwhile buy assassins like 100...just sell stone...:) he will get owned..try it!

I know that there are rush methods here but I try not to go for it, since rush is not really playing the game in my opinion. MagicGladiatorLV this is not even my best strategy this was just a simple one, ask people that have played me online I can get more strategic and waay better than this.
