I just visited today. The area has become overgrown with native vegetation making full access more difficult. Also the city of Urasoe has ordered a large archaelogical excavation which was under way. It seems that 400 years ago the area may have been a coral quarry for road and castle construction. This archaelogical dig may be the precursor for the go-ahead for the previously mentioned construction.

I will be visiting Okinawa next week. My wife's family lives in Urasoe and I will take the time to visit this beach.

What a beautiful video. I hope that it stays this pretty forever. I would love to visit Okinawa some day. When I am able to visit I hope that beautiful, natural places still exist. Peace and love to you.

確かにもったいないですよ。沖縄はきれいな海があるのに、それを­住む人が壊すもうこれ以上このようなことをしないでほしいです。­

同感です。１０数年前、嘉手納の海岸も自然のままで、疲れた時、­友人達と夜、その海岸を歩き、星を眺めました。今は変わってしま­った。

私の住む宜野湾は、昔の面影がありません。まあ、ビーチは楽しめ­ますが、なるべく自然を生かした方法がよいと思います。田芋の水­田も・・・続けるのは大変なのでしょうが。
