  • @TheMatt513 Actually I'm a magician and poof you comment is gone.

  • You must be lefthanded. Looks like you read and followed the instructions exactly as they were written on the package. Good thing theres no valleys.

  • Great job! I just finished roofing my shed and its hard work. the worst part is the ladder *shiver* :) I hope I did it right, (it was my first time roofing) I'm still too afraid to take off the tarp lol

  • @hlorange10 Way good I'm sure you'll do just fine

  • great job gary...and its not a cultral thing or a generational thing(think thats the same thing) and its not an internet thing.... its a retard thing....some people are just retarded...great job on the video and keep uploading more...i love it doing my garage now

  • i'm fixing to put a new roof on the 400 sq ft workshop that is in my backyard. thx for the vid, cool stuff. Imma do it!

  • I would just delete all BS comments or don't let people comment at all.

  • @kevin22262 After you made your suggestion I gave it some serious thought and I almost did delete some of the really bad comments. But then I thought hey this is a good example of what kinda smarts is still out there after all the effort by the ruling elite to dumb down the masses. They have been entirely too successful anyway it,s good practice for me to try to work on my degrading humorous comebacks instead of bitter banter in which the majority of these morons understand neither.

  • I did not see you do anything. I was going to say you were just like the white boy shows on tv where the talk about doing all this work then get on there knees go to commercial and then it all done. by the way i know it got done but you installed it back ward unless your left handed

  • I can't understand all the negative comments....This man did something and then shared his experience. If you get something out of it, all is good, if not, well you have not lost anything either so, no problem. Personally, as a DIYer, it gives me the incentive to try new things. Great Job

  • @johnnyfarnham I dont know if its a culture thing internet thing or generational thing but people love to hide behind a keyboard. Especially on you tube

  • @johnnyfarnham This should be a video about going up and down a ladder...not about roofing. That stupid backwards red neck trailer park trash MF.

  • @ffinkle1 Well another fucktard with no uploads and no subscribers and no Grey matter. However a huge gaping hole under his nose in which the bitterness of a lowlife unfulfilled rolls off the tongue. I'm not real surprised seems to be the norm for the losers who troll around making such comments...

  • Slow video...get to the job

  • If it keeps the rain out = WIN!

  • Great job mannexx111, you are a hard workingman (and I know it) doing this all by yourself! I DIY my roof, including ridge vent, gutters, fascia boards, couple of skylights with my roofer friend. My friend was great who could nail the shingles faster than I could hand it to him. Complete tear out and some structural repairs. We had roof top delivery, too old lugging the 50 year shingles and 30-lb felt rolls up the ladder. No way I could do it all by myself, maybe the next one.

  • I thought it was good mannex. To hell with these youtube "experts" saying you're wrong. If it worked for you that's all that matters... Well, that and you saving money and gaining experience by doing it yourself.

  • cracks me up that some people actually believe that the roof will leak through an exposed nail. maybe 1 drop over a lifetime..if that. Did you use a nail gun or hand-nail?

  • love the restroom floor comment! Youre not doing bad for a diy er.Ive done roofing for 35 years, and ive seen WAY worse.

  • @abbycici Hey thanks a lot it hasn't sprung a leak yet so Im happy. I always try to respond to morons with a little bit of personal degrading humor

  • Looks good! If its going to be hot out, try top down shingling. That way you're not messing up the shingles under your feet.

  • GOOD JOB THERE SPORT,THAT'S A LOT OF HARD WORK

  • He nailed where the next shingle butts up tothe one above it. Thats a no no. all nails should be atleast a few inches from there.Nails WILL leak. It may take a while , but will leak.Other than that, he didnt do all that horrible, Ive definately seen alot worse from homeowners. One man nailed the shingles in a straight line up the roof.Haha. He didnt have money to pay us the first time, but he found the money to do it twice.????

  • @TommyPickle74 your comment dosent make any sense try learning to express what your thinking with words.been sniffing round the old tar melter too long.............

  • @TommyPickle74 IF YOU'RE SUCH AN EXPERT, WHY DON'T YOU PUT UP A VIDEO AND SHOW US ROOKIES HOW IS DONE,TOUGH GUY?

  • Do ya mind sharing what the square footage of your roof is and how much ya had to spend on materials? I've got ZERO experience at roofing myself and am thinking of tackling my roof as well. Any advice from your learning experience would be MUCH appreciated.

  • @coconutstaple Not enough room here to answer your questions so a pm reply is on the way

  • My husband is doing his first roof, our garage roof was a terrible mess and leaked all the time. Dont have the money to get the professionals, hes doing a good job by himself. Your roof looks great, well done!

  • great job,you remind me when men were men.I wouldnt throw my money at some of these crooks (aka) contractors.,everyone should take initiative and work on their own house....thumbs up to you

  • hey man,

great job on the roof. im not an expert but if i could give you one pice of advice for the next side ... cover the tar with your shingles bring the bottom of the top shingle to the top of the tab line on the bottom row of shingles that way when the sun hits your shingles the tar strip will melt and seal them off so it will be water proof other then that great job dont lesson to these ass wholes who sit on youtube and commment and never worked a day in there life.

  • The roof is fine, I hope mine looks as good when I'm done lol.

I fly Models as well or did, I have about 10 thousand hours in it.

  • I think he is inlove with him self

  • Of all DIY projects roofing is the toughest I think... Good job man it's alot of work.

  • Looks damn good

  • Hey gary time for a new t shirt lol.

  • If that's a Cabelas hat, then FTW!

  • WTF!

  • thanks pops wise words of encourangement

  • yeup wrong side and the felt needs staples to make it flat or it will look bad...

  • @onofre0227 I just want to thank you for letting me know how fucked up my roof is and how I didn't go about it in the proper way. I just don't know how ive been able to sleep at night without the u tube roofing police knocking at my door. it ;looks good and it does not leak but then staying dry is underrated I am told...................

  • @mannexx111 if you cant handle a coment dont fu..king post videos on youtube. i am sure your roof is all fucked up already... if you are going to do something do a llttle research first you stupid ass....

  • @onofre0227 the only thing fucked up is your mothers ass hole from shitting you out in the local tavern rest room. But my roof is fine thanks for asking..................

  • @mannexx111 Hey! You one funny Bastid. Thanks for pointing this out as i can now send him a bill for cleaning our rest room here @ The Dew Drop Inn® Thank You. ps. Did you use drip edge? Because I'm getting ready to fix a roof that has no drip edge and its a leaking sonafabitch!

  • @PinShave Yes I used drip edge and that sticky rolled starter strip stuff. But I did not use Ice shield or ice guard that stuff is just a big rip off it docent work and in no way will stop any ice build up on the edge of any roof. And further more as a sovereign American I don't require anyone's permission or inspection to do any improvements on things I own.

  • @mannexx111 Hey don't Liston to all the neg bull shit on here remember every one is a expert roofer on you tube and the scammer roofer contractors hate DIY people. I personal would rather learn from my own mistakes and be that much better for the next time I do the project and learn something from my own hands then work with the 90% roofing scammers out here!

  • I will be doing the same, what about rain?

  • @whittle4u when you properly place underlayment, tar paper or synthetics, rain should not be a worry. Anything in construction should have redundancies.

  • @emigrantgap doesn't rain get under the shingles though if you don't get one side done fast enough? what about the top center, or eve i guess, what do you put over that temporarally to keep water out?

  • yeah! you heve been doing a good job, forget about the child!

  • sorry man i was giving some tips.

  • u started from the wrong side man

  • MAN...WHAT CAN I SAY...BRAVOOO...FIRST OF ALL...U R A GREAT MAN...MY RESPECTS TO U FOR SHARING US UR VIDEO...AND SPECIALLY FOR UR ''IF I CAN DO IT,ANYBODY CAN DO IT'' I LIKE THAT...UR A GREAT MAN AND AGAIN THANK YOU FOR UR TIME FOR SHOWING UR VIDEO...GOD BLESS...!!!

  • Half of the people that write comments on here dont know what there talking about and are sittin on there ass bitching about other peoples work cause they aint got shit to do there selfs! Grow up! good job on the roof man

  • Not to Bad

  • Your nails looked to close to the butt joints it will leak if its to close

  • Looks good!

  • I think your doing a good job for doing it your self

  • Owens Corning duration 30 year shingles offer a much better warrenty - 110 mph wind warrenty , sweet that you fly R/c planes = do that myself but lionlady is right tottally backards roofing

  • roofing applied backwards unless your left handed

  • its 15pound felt not 16

  • thats not a tar line hes a lil wobbly but not bad for his age and lack of help

  • going up and down the ladder with a camera in your hand... this almost turned into a fail blog video. but thanks for the encouragement, im going to do some roofing for the first time tomorrow.

  • you can see the strips of tar on your shingles u should of placed them with less of a gap to cover it.
