Denise looks like a dumbass here because didnt she turn down that job with sondra and elvin because it wasn't in her preferred field, but yet she accepts this job waiting tables which has got to pay LESS then what they offered.
It's always been peculiar to me that Cliff (Bill Cosby) NEVER lets his legs show. In all of the running track episodes, and now in this one, when he wears shorts, he ALWAYS wears those funny-looking spandex leggings underneath. Is there something wrong with his legs?
That look on her face at 9:59, she seemed so worried. I mean she was his wife, so of course she was concerned. But to me, it was just a look you hardly saw. She and Cliff had like the best chemistry.

Denise is ridiculous. She has such strong feelings of entitlement and poor work ethic. Is it really that hard to pick a major and stay in school when she has no learning problems and a great set of parents who pay tuition? Ok, if she's not the college kind she can at least work for her upkeep. Why does she have to find herself on her parents' dime? I think she's simply lazy and unmotivated. She's expecting a windfall.

@sandysurap Things are a little different in college than in highschool. Highschool is forced and strictly structured, college is not. Denise couldn't figure out what she wanted to do and was easily frustrated with slow-paces and working towards long-term goals.
It's more common of an issue than you think, especially in this day and age where instant gratification is considered to be an important goal.

@indigothecat yup, college is full of people like Denise. There's no need to stay in college if you don't know what you're going to do with your major. If you do that you'll eventually find yourself in a very bitter place. some people need more time to find out what their passions are. I couldn't agree more with what you're saying because I'm a Denise. There's a flame burning inside me, and I'm eager to work, but have not figured out completely what it's going to be.
@anouck86 In blunt honesty, I'm a little like Denise in that respect, and let me tell you, forcing yourself to stay in school when it's not what you want, you aren't motivated for it, or you don't know what you want to do, tends to be a poor idea all around, so I totally understand you there.
@indigothecat Denise is just like any other child....when any child steps out of the security of the home, the reality hits hard....and with Denise she would like to do something she loves.....sometimes that is a conflict between what you love to do and what you HAVE to do....
