  • this tribute sounds like shit. deep purple could do better for a tribute to my bro. fuck purple and fuck coverdale.

  • I loved Tommy Bolin but when I saw Purple with him, it was awfull. He didn't know half the songs. And Purple without either Blackmore or Lord just isn't really Purple.

  • Tommy..just loved that that guys playing..."Post toaste" and all that...wonderous

  • that is live?

  • Great post

  • Bolin was on FIRE on tour in Aussieville with Deep Purple

  • Love Tommy Bolin and really liked Come Taste The Band and his solo stuff but Deep Purple were Ritchie Blackmore and Jon Lord when either are missing or even worse like today BOTH are missing then its simply NOT Deep Purple

  • Tommy Boln, Glenn Hughes e Ian paice are the best members of Deep Purple..

  • everyone has an opinion- but the best in music doesnt compute

  • 2nd best Purple axe man

  • @paujoekrisjam It's not about being the best - Bolin was the Greatest

  • no purple

  • The name JAMES GANG tells everything.

    TOMMY BOLIN was fantastic guitarist!!!

    RIP, Tommy!!!

  • Both albums by the James Gang would have sucked if it were not for Tommy Bolin,he saved them."Bang" sounded more like a Bolin album. Also Tommy was a better singer and some great hooks by Tommy he was amazing on "bang"some of his best work, but i say that about all Tommy's stuff.Could you imagine what Tommy would have sounded like today. He was only 25 when he left us and look what he did in that short timespan,i think Tommy would be on top of the world, every band would want him.

  • @STRATCAT101 Yes Sir - In deed

  • incredibol very very bravo deep purple genial tommy

  • Damn ,I missed this Melbourne gig, too young but snuck in to see Quo in 76 as my first gig :-)))

Come Taste = best Purple album bar none.

  • Tommy was King

  • taste it downunder has been always one of my favourite picture from deep purple tommy bolin era.

Do you have others from that gig???

    thanks a lot

  • Tommy Bolin forever

  • I uploaded a video for the studio version of this song, this concert is in australia, I uploaded a video for love child live in australia 75, I don't know if is the same concert

  • Kondur, this is from '76, if the one you uploaded is from '75....I'm guessing it's NOT the same concert, I could be wrong but I don't think so.

  • are you sure is from 76??? because I think they played australia in november 75,before japan december

  • Ask funkyclaude..he uploaded it..not me

  • why you never upload a deep purple video??? upload something dude!

  • Naa, I'm too lazy hehe

  • sure i have purple videos from back in the day lying around all over the place....there is only one to my knowledge with tommy and thats the japanese horror show that is here already ..only mk3 stuff ive seen is cali jam and leeds uni and bbc london...the gillan stuff is that black and white swedish stuff and the new york stuff at the end loads of satch and widdly king morse ...but to me thast just a tribute band pre 77 is not that common..if it is please forward details

  • yeah but the japanese show with bolin is available only 30 min in video, the whole concert is in the cd this time around live in tokio, where is the rest of the footage from that concert?? there mut be somewhere, I don't think they only recorded 30 minutes...

  • today is the 31 anv. of Tommy's death.Gone but not forgotten.Thank you so much for posting this.Peace

  • Would be great to see some footage of his solo band just after he left Deep Purple-someone must have filmed him but so far you'd have more chance of seeng a UFO.

  • Taste It Down Under..it had to be David Coverdale who thought that one up, could almost be a title for a Whitesnake album.

  • I uploaded a video for the studio version of this song, this concert is in australia, I uploaded a video for love child live in australia 75, I don't know if is the same concert

  • Check out Tommys newest, Whips and Roses (1&2) Both are stunning!

  • The Taste it Down Under bootleg is actually from 1975 - 25th November to be exact. Sorry for being an anorak. Tommy Bolin rules!!!

  • thanks for the info....bolin does indeed rule...
