@Lheonnar The situation was pretty drastic at the time and I had never recorded with it before. So chalk it up to inexperience. I only ever took still shots - video isn't my thing. But I wanted some evidence of the situation. The camera died shortly after. I suspect the water damage did it in. : (
@TERESADEAR It's lovely here all year because each season offers something new and special. The waters have gone down. This was just an unusual event that might never happen again (at least I hope not!).
@vdublovexo I'm downstream, first house on the Lake Vaughan Road up the hill from the dam. The water almost reached the top of the bank where my house sits.
