  • Hello. I have a 2006 lexus rx 400h all wheel drive will that be sufficient for towing and casita or any 17ft trailer? Where did you get the equalizer hitch and the extra thing for not hitting the bumper?

  • @10smom The equalizer hitch can be bought on line for around $400 shipped. Its the 600lb, 6000lb model , e-trailer, PPL RV. The couple mate can also be found on line, cabelas has them. google them both. There are cheaper hitches but your hitch is not something ti skimp on. Your Lexus will be a fine tow vehicle.

  • @357tonto Thanks for the reply I just ordered my couple mate! newbie solo travel tailer owner here. wish me luck! I got the MPG 185 going to be delivered today. Ordered the Couple mate and also got a stabilizer hitch from RV wholesaler, who also sold me the trailer.

  • @10smom sounds great!, I looked at the MPG trailers here locally made by Heartland who makes some very nice high end coaches. Nothing like having your own rolling motel 6 to enjoy camping even more. Would love to see pics and keep me posted. Who knows, maybe we could end up in the same campground some day?
