  • Just bought me a 2006 h3, I was fixing to do a break job for someone. He is a younger fella, said he wanted his torsion bars tightened maybe one inch lift, I told him while we are at it we can lift the hummer about an inch to inch and a half, two inches or more will wear your cv joints badly.

  • Just got 31s on my 99 Jimmy. I'm about to do a video next week it will be under (GMC JIMMY COMEBACK) thank 4 the info ur bid was helpful

  • make sure you check your cv joints going over a 2 inch lift usually the joints start to wear pretty fast

  • That looks prety good without a aftermarket lift kit.

  • @ltucker9 it looks level to me too especially compared to what it looked like before!

  • if thats your defintion of level you must be high

  • @tmkbehkn correct

  • I crank em all the way up no jack needed if you aint a pussy or stupid. Just use a breaker bar and yer balls. Stock shocks work fine my truck rides great. Not talking shit to the video poster just saying this for people with a small budget or people that dont have a jack

  • Do you have to buy torsion bar keys or can you do it with just stock parts?

  • shitty, i thought you were going to show us how to do it......

  • @soundscare if you can't figure it out from this you probably shouldn't do it

  • He actually does mention to get a wheel alignment. It is located in the description, I own a 2003 Chevrolet Avalanch with body cladding. Since the truck stock has a lower front end, i went down to my friends at a local shop, they cranked the front torsion bars up to level with the front, not with a higher front end, i feel more comfort and stability while driving. Aswell as me personally did not need a wheel alignment. I will be making a vid soon, thanks!

  • just puts more wear on the ball-joints, its causes a little more of a firm or stiff ride. but what he didnt tell you is you will need to get a alignment after you do it cause your moveing your camber angle. if you dont is the tire tread will wear unevenly across the top.

  • @Phillip36oh I've been about 30,000 miles now with them cranked and haven't had any problems...front wheel alignment is mentioned in the description

  • did you do this with the stock parts?

  • Great tutorial man thanks, a couple questions - is it ok to lift it but not quite to level, just an inch or so lower lets say instead of 2.5? And also, will that mess with any warranty stuff? Thanks again!

  • @indeliblehiphop yeah anything below 2.5 is fine. 24.5" from center of the hubcap to fender at most...anything below is good.

  • it does. it wears out ball joints faster. i cranked mine up and it seems fine to me so far. the next set of ball joints i'm getting will have zerks in it so they can be properly greased up. what he says in this vid is dead on! i still need to do a alignment lol my camberge is way off on both sides need to get her in for a alignment

  • doesnt this wear out the torsion bar quicker? I would think it would do damage to the truck over time cranking it that much?
