  • Check this out!! Kickstart is trying to make a hot air balloon to fly over Salvation Mountain for Leonard's Birthday and they need our help! Go to kickstarter projects and type in Salvation Mountain! :) I'm not allowed to post links here otherwise I would! Please help! :)

  • ''God is love''. I laughed so hard this guy probably never read the bible in his life. Bibles Filled with Violence,Child abuse,Slavery,Rape. ETC, God even killed over 25 million people while Satan only killed 10.

  • Leonard King is gay

  • Must. Go. Here.

  • Someone drop a j-dam on that hill just to piss off christians, please.

  • Love how athiests hate something just because it was done for God. If that mountain was painted just because he wanted to make it look nice, they would all be amazed. But because it was painted for religion, "NO I HATE IT"

  • I like this! Going to drive around the country in a few weeks, I'll put this on my list of things to see.

  • I live 30-40 minutes away from this place.

and i just heard about it yesterday. and im only 21. its crazy. im gonna be taking my mom and my 1yr old. im really looking foward to this. :) and i looking foward to meeting the artist!

  • To me this is a wonder of the world, more so then the 7 world wonders.

  • What an absolute nutter...

  • this place is absolutely beautiful. i went back in the summer of 2007, really hot, but me and my friends were the only ones there:)

  • I was there yesterday :D

  • Way to GO Brother.

  • Leonard is actually in like IN the film Into the Wild. I just thought he was an actor. If you have not seen the movie, WATCH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • It is so pretty!

  • It's the Colorado Desert, not the Mojave Desert (which is north beyond the Chocolate Mountains) aka the Salton Sink. Tried to Visit Leonard on the last Day of November 2007, but he was "Out". Wandered around, chatted up his cat, checked things out, and left a $20 for him to carry on his work. First heard about him in that Salton Sea Documentary. If the basin ever floods by the ocean, he's 42 feet above sea level, and will have prime beach front property.

  • Leonard Knight is a VERY humble old guy.

We had the pleasure of visiting him at salvation mountain 2 weeks ago.

We will go back for sure.

A must do for anyone traveling near there.

We gave him a little donation before we left and he was just so grateful too.

  • We just went out there for the first time last weekend what a great place the people were very nice around there too.

  • this man is the best these guys better not be insulting cause lets see them do this wow the mountain is amazing ive been there so many times

  • From 5:30 to 6:10 these two visitors were getting a little insulting I think. "So will I reach salvation when I get to the top of the mountain? *snicker chuckle", "this paint's a little slippery isn't it?". Judging from Leonard Knight's silence he might have felt a little slighted.

    No biggee, just an observation.

  • There's nothing insulting said at all. Leonard has a great sense of humor and we were joking around with him. He is a very warm and funny fellow and we have had a blast visiting with him on more than one occasion. Ask him yourself if he felt "slighted" by our conversations.

  • damn i wanna go to diz place

  • saw this in the movie "into the wild" Would love to meet him in person

  • Lulz don't build it too high, now! You saw what happened to that tower of babel!

    I think it's a neat little project.

  • He's been discovered every couple of years by people trying to turn a buck, document him, then in a couple of years somebody will discover him again.

  • hmm weird

  • why do athiest care the most, hes not doing any harm to anyone, this guy is the happiest guy on earth, how great thou art!

  • i just don't get why athiest care the most, this man has no worrys in the world, ultimate happieness! how great thou art!

  • no electricity or water? thats not a mud mountain people are painting....lol

  • Toxic paint? lol who said that?

  • 75000 gallons of toxic paint dumped into the environment.....this kook should be in JAIL!

  • A gaudy pile of crap....yeah that sounds like a testament to religion to me!

  • Leonard seems like a pretty cool dude - a believer without being preachy and judgmental. But his moutntain kind of reminds me of an ice cream cake.

  • i went there today! IT WAS AWESOME!

  • It's really pretty and he seems very sweet. It was interesting, to say the least.

I love your vids guys, thanks so much =)

  • Ugh, when will humanity MOVE ON from religion. I laugh at Greek, Roman, Incan, Mayan, and, yes, even the Christian "God". Same bull, different stink, I say. The power lies inside YOU, not something else.

  • I'm not religious either, but this man represents what is good about religion; peace, love, a sense of being humble and working hard for something you believe in. It's beautiful! Outsider art borne of love and not profit. Amaaaazing!

  • anybody promoting love, peace and happiness is a friend of mine, no matter what religion he has or doesn't have...

  • very true well said

  • Mmmm Very intresting.

keep updating new videos i watched all of them =)

    thanks

  • Interesting.
