  • I am still baffled that this hasnt broken a million views yet....if u cats are reading this, lets collab

  • Sick.

  • I'm really feeling a portal 3 intro here....

  • PLEASE MAKE MORE MUSIC TOGHETER!!!

  • Cool song. - I'd like to hear it without all the clipping/distortion.

  • I find myself singing this at the oddest times.

  • We live in epoch of our ardor, like felons in a frenzy. We embrace our. This we suffer. This is our sentence. The only instance where the punishment is the cure.

  • The combination of all four of you is incredible. It's so easy to hear both of your styles very clearly. Please work together more!

  • GREAT COLLABORATION!!!!!! Earned a fan here as well ~!! ;-)

  • guys some part in the video you all sing a line( 0:48 sec), and the thing is that you all look like abba and is really funny part. like the song a lot

  • Must have been a nice break for Jack, not having to drum this time!

  • Nataly looks so entranced by that microphone o_O

  • you four look like ABBA

  • This joint is hot...is it an original?

  • there is something very unique about this song

  • This is the only Pomplamoose song that I don't really really like.

I think the views says it all.

This song has views 220,525 since 2/20/2011

Monster Mask has 491,108 since 8/11/2011, not even half the time.

    Bust Your Knee Caps has 384,670 since 10/11/2011 ( 48 DAYS !!! )

  • @1SixpenceFan but this is not a Pomplamoose song, this is a louis and genevieve song :)

  • @1SixpenceFan yeah who gives a fuck. underrated songs are the best.

  • Мне тоже.

    Love it alot

  • мне нравится!

  • I liked the way Nataly and Genevieve's voices worked together, I liked the fast, shuffling drum beat, but the organlike device, whatever it was, was just too harsh and atonal. Did not work. Maybe it was intended to make the women's voices seem more melodious by contrast, but they really didn't need that.

  • 240p vs 1080p

  • Hey! Astronomers don't go to space. Astronauts do!

  • Louis no LOL!!!

  • Nataly, you look nice ;D!!!

  • Been following Louis and Genevieve when I first heard Window Shop. That was amazing! And this, is more amazing!

  • So cool. Louis and Genevieve and Pomplamoose are totally meant for each other! YAYZ!\(^-^)/

  • I despise & detest the part of the song between 0.00 - 3:19 !!!!!

  • i have that keyboard at 0:31(:

  • This music is so awesome, that I don't even know what to say... AWESOME!

  • Nataly rocks out on bass at about 1:30

  • I think it's built for kids.

    SHUT UP

  • this sounds like some of their early stuff.

  • Genevieve sounds like GLaDOS :O

    0:12

  • @noamchoco She does xD.

  • Napoleon Dynamite!

  • I consider this a form of Shoegaze, imo.

  • 340 people don't like non-pop music (that doesn't make them 'wrong')

  • I'm getting some pretty big Deerhoof vibes from this song. Fucking love it.

  • I love this so much! And... Oooookay, buncha comments on genres.

For me, I think that any music is real music, I just prefer certain genres.

Just because I really, really, really hate country doesn't mean it's not 'real' music. And just because you're not paying attention to what is happening with every instrument in easy listening, that doesn't mean you're not listening.

  • i dont doubt the talent of these people i just dont dig this 1 song >.< sorry

  • Why is there sooo many dislikes? :(

  • CRISIS EDUCACIONAL EN CHILE, ¿POR QUÉ NO NOS ESCUCHAN? @Mineduc @GobiernodeChile @jmanalich #reformaeducacion @marchaIDRECH

  • nice! that girl's blank stare kinda bugs me out. awesome song tho like dayum

  • Are these guys robots?

  • if they are hipsters... i love them!!! hahahaa (:

  • I think you guys should collab more often. Have been addicted to this song since its release

  • Fantastic piece. I'm impressed; seamless melding of styles, challenging and delightful result.

  • very nice

  • I like it. Music first. It gave me a serious case of deja-vu today though. Are these lyrics from some existing work? I could swear I've heard/read these words somewhere. Or I am having brain-not-work-so-good.

  • i find her oddly attractive

  • I LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Too much hipster in one place

  • @Trevoiry They are not hipsters. Hipsters are music, and clothes snobs, they are not that.

  • I love this, both of your voices are so gorgeous, they're both so individual but they work well together as well...

^ Did that make sense? :S

  • Love the chorus...first listen was today.

  • Earned a fan. +5 exp

  • If you've listend to Aleatoric music or sat through two hours of free jazz than this is just sweet sweet music!

  • For some reason this song reminds me of portal! :P

  • @frankyurban GLaDOS :D

  • I MISS THIS BAND LOUIS AND GENEVIEVE.

It's been awhile to hear news about them C:!

  • I love this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • kind of reminds me of The Bird and The Bee. very good.

  • This song is awesome guys!... some parts remind me a little to Yes... keep on going, I love your work (Pomplamoose, Louis and Genevieve) ♥

  • Love you love you love you love you loveyouloveyouloveyou for the sake of all that is holy, normalize your audio!

  • Formidable! J'adore!!

  • Nat Nat Nat

  • Louis is a mastermind. I followed him for a while when I first started listening to(became obsessed with) you, Jack and Pomplamoose, but kind of lost track for a while. BUT i just bought the new albums(from Louis, and also Louis and Genevieve)...ahhhh masterpieces!! Hopefully if I'm out in LA sometime soon I can see them. I can see why you guys get a long so well now...you all have absolutely unrestricted and unadulterated creative minds. Bravo(a)!!

  • Jack has realized his childhood dream of being a spaceman.

  • 自由だ・・・

    とてつもなく自由だ。

  • Replayed it 3 times, wishing it actually did go on and on.

  • "In spite of hard times we can find strength t to go on", is inspirational I watch this almost daily. Thank you!

  • I wonder if Jack ever successfully destroyed that cymbal?

  • Very futuristic

  • I love it! It's kind of complex! It looks hard to play!

  • 319 people could not go on.

  • Good stuff, but I would suggest Louis and Genevieve consider buying something other than a camcorder from 1985 to record their vids on.

Awesome song fortified with further awesomeness.

  • @xxPsychorabbitxx but the retro look is a nice touch.

  • he goes farther and farther to hide the bald spot. I wish he would just rock it.

  • I can't get enough of this song. Something about it just resonates with me. Thanks!

  • Maybe its too much for me.. :X

  • This song sounds like the future

  • i love watching her play the bass.

    oh man i love pomplamoose

  • I get it!

  • Some Herbie Hancock influence! nice..

You guys are amazing and making history in music!

    Keep going!!!!!

  • FYI: Easy listening is a kinder way of saying boring as shit. Real music isn't meant to be played in the background. Real music is supposed to be a proactive listening experience that really makes you take notice.

In summation, easy listening is muzak that you hear in elevators, on the PA's at department stores and even worse, on pop radio. Do you really think that the term easy listening is positive? Don't make me laugh.

  • @Free2shred00 Somebody has to do this too.Not everyone can be a Mozart, or should be a Mozart.

  • @dncviorel Yes, well thank God it isn't Pomplamoose.

  • @dncviorel they should call themselves Trazom. which, of course is Mozart backwards. or, metaphorically speaking, the opposite of Mozart. IT BLOWS.

  • @Free2shred00 What if you proactively listen to easy listening?

  • @Free2shred00 While proactive music is great, there's nothing wrong with "easy listening", either. There's really great ambient music out there that isn't meant to be a proactive listening experience. Additionally, there's some really boring metal out there, which is very proactive listening! Neither type of music is good or bad, there are good and bad examples of each.

  • @Free2shred00 Anyone who says "In summation..." thinks way too much of themselves. Just enjoy the music for what it is. Obviously each musician is extremely talented.

  • @Free2shred00 Words men! they are just fucking words. I'm sorry if a few of you guys have your own definition. it might mean something else to someone! especially in an international community like this one!

and for the video, Great song btw!

  • @Free2shred00 - Facepalm

  • @Free2shred00 There is absolutely nothing wrong with that kind of music. Why was that topic even brought up? lol. Easy listening does not mean "boring as shit", it means exactly what it says. Easier to listen to versus say, this intricate style of music or say, crazy techno or heavy metal which demands the attention of the mind to process moreso.

  • @MegaMacTV I think the comment that started it all was "This song is not meant to be easy listening. It's rhythmically and melodically challenging which suits the lyrics perfectly. Brilliant execution, challenging meter... impressive!" by amyvanvechten 3 months ago

A 100 comments later I can see why you would ask why was this even brought up?

  • @Free2shred00 Easy listening may say 'boring as shit' to you, but it tends to include greats such as Sinatra in its classification. A broader definition may mean music that isn't loud, jarring, or energetic.

  • @Free2shred00 Good point. Easy Listening = music that don't bother me but I don't give a crap about

  • @Free2shred00 This is an affront to elevator music lovers everywhere!

  • @Free2shred00 Yeah, so true bro. There's definitely only one "real" type of music, and all music has the absolute same purpose, because everyone has the same taste. You are brilliant.

  • yeah so i am going to buy this!!!!

  • wow! me gusta como suenan. Se ven muy bien juntos... encore! encore!!!

  • If this song is not meant to be easy listening, they succeeded, congratulations .

  • I love love love this. You guys should all my famous.

  • Fantastic! I don't think I've heard such fun and interesting meters and music since GG's The Power and the Glory - Glad I found you guys. Pleeeaaassse keep the creativity flowing and never loose the fun.

  • love it! can't stop listening

  • Stereolab influnce maybe? I effing love Stereolab. You should collab with them more.

  • The more I listen the more I love this song!! "In spite of hard times, we can find strength to go on!"

  • The song is abstract and catchy. Think people are afraid of that combination. Like theyre thinking outside themselves, scary...

  • This song didn't entirely work for me, but I applaud you for trying something different. I listen to a wide variety of music, including songs with more of an "angular" sound like this one, but it felt like the song was trying too hard. In my opinion, it isn't as interesting as it seems to think it is. Maybe that sounds a little harsh, but it's just my opinion, which doesn't mean much. :-)

  • didn't like it.

  • 2:35 WTH??! ROFL

  • When I first listened to this I was like "Huh?"

Then I heard it a second time and I was like "Hmmm"

    Now I'm just like "YES."

  • this joint has that James Brown soul to it...Is Mr Stubberfield drumming?...jk..good shit once again....see u at the top!!!!!!!

  • WOW! Just spotted a Casio MT 100 organ! I use one myself!

Is it the one with the 5 band graphic equaliser/1983 model!?

    Lorraine

    x

  • I agree with Nax12345678910. Sounds Great!!!! LOVE IT.

  • Even though it is kinda unconventional, I find this song extremely catchy and it has been stuck in my head since I first heard it last month. Nice!

  • I wanna see Nataly with long hair.

  • @elebunny45 she has long hair in "10,000 Books! Jingle Bells! ", another video on this channel. its after the commercial when theyre talking

  • Queen did have such an experimental song style, too. Just sayin'.

  • Reminds me of the album Organik by Robert Miles. Great.

  • It sounds like a Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory song...yes, and I mean the old one...

  • Don't know why people think it's not catchy. I've had this song stuck in my head for ages!

  • THIS IS CALLED A SALTY SONG.

YOU KNOW? SONGS DO NOT NEED TO BE ALL POP AND FLAVOURSIH GOOD ALSO KNOWN AS -- CATCHY!->. YES THIS SONG IS HARD TO LISTEN TO IF YOU'VE ONLY LISTENED TO POP SONGS WITH CATCHY CHORDS.

  • Interesting song, very experimental-sounding. And I like Nataly's bass work on it.

  • i love her voice (genevieve?) in this song— it's really deep and smooth. anyway, this is musically challenging... like others said, impressive! not many others create songs quite like this.

  • MOAR MOAR

  • This is the kind of song that needs more than one listen, in my opinion.

  • Not my favourite

  • Release an album! I'd buy it!

  • i want to share our song. i hope pomplamoose see this :3

    thank you!

    /watch?v=EbYLPatf5BQ

  • i feel like im high now

  • a lovely trippy little tune! This is probably one of the most unique songs I've heard in a while. I think it's a nice change from some of your other stuff as well.

  • Fourth listening and it keeps getting better. I'm reminded (just a bit) of Talking Heads and even Gentle Giant. Complex and challenging, gets those brain cells working - I love it. :)

  • Very nice! I would love to see you play outcast, hey ya!

  • as always, unique!

  • How Sharing Works....Well Done guys..." Sharing is the essence of life..."

  • This shit is way too good.

  • sorry this is not good at all

  • @policeshawn i agree :)

  • that drum beat is whack!!

  • St. Vincent fans?

  • This is so slick. It's been in my head since I first heard it. Louis' drumming is off the wall. Whoever wrote the melody/harmonic arrangement is courageous and has pleased my ears immensely. This is my kind of music. I can understand how some might not find it to be "easy listening", but I like how it's right on the edge of pop and ear-opening pop nouveau (I think I just made that up). I'd join this band if I could! Great mash up of the two duos!

  • Interesting performance. I like the retro look. :)

  • This song is hot. I can't stop smiling. I <3 it

WHAT JACK HAS HAIR NOW. WOW IT'S BEEN A WHILE.

  • This song is hot. I can't stop smiling. I <3 it

  • sweeet!! back to orbit roger that!

  • wish 0:42 was 5 mins longer

  • nataly, plaid, bass.

that is the hat trick of hot.

    oh, goodness gracious.

  • this is gooooo good!

i love this mix! you two groups go so well together!

  • fiona apple

  • I liked it kind sound like GLaDOS

  • I love this song screw you guys.

  • oh god too much hipster shit. Get a new camera, that 90's family video crap is irritating.

  • wtf? i love pomplamoose but this sucks

  • not feeling this one

  • I agree with 1SixpenceFan, I love the creativity of pomplamoose and just didn`t see it here.

  • Excellent base guitar job , YK :)

  • Louis and Genevieve need either a better camera or need to turn of the blurry-ish effect. Otherwise, great song!
