I will always remember hearing the weather guy saying touchdown in a different area every 5 min. Over 50 tornadoes hit Alabama that day. I am so glad that none hit my little town of Sylacauga. But, still I am saddend by the large amount of deaths that were caused by these tornadoes. RIP to all who lost their life during these tragic events.

This may seem like a dumb question, but does Europe or anywhere else get tornadoes? We see on the news all the time when a typhoon/hurricane hits Japan or Bangladesh or whatever, but never hear of tornadoes hitting, say France or England or Norway, for example.

There was an F5 tornado that went through Niles, Ohio back in 1985. One of the people killed was in a car and was torn in half because he had his seat belt on and the tornado sucked the upper half of his body out of the drivers side window. His lower body was still held in by the seat belt. That is some strong fucking wind.

This monster is the very reason why the cities around Atlanta NEED to put in more tornado sirens. I can't imagine what horror could happen if a tornado w/ that power went thru my county( Gwinnett- which has endless subdivisions, over 800,000 people, few basements, ONE siren).

I went from Tx to Ms on april 25- 27 and witnessed a total of 8 tornadoes and many other tornado warned storms during that outbreak and only twice did I hear a siren. Once while driving on a freeway for a brief moment passed a town somwehere south of Dallas , and once in Philadellphia Ms.

There was an F5 tornado that went through Niles, Ohio back in 1985. One of the people killed was in a car and was torn in half because he had his seat belt on and the tornado sucked the upper half of his body out of the drivers side window. His lower body was still held in by the seat belt. That is some strong fucking wind.

I went from Tx to Ms on april 25- 27 and witnessed a total of 8 tornadoes and many other tornado warned storms during that outbreak and only twice did I hear a siren. Once while driving on a freeway for a brief moment passed a town somwehere south of Dallas , and once in Philadellphia Ms.

Anyway... getting back on topic... this really was a tragic day in Alabama for Cullman, Tuscaloosa, Concord, Pleasant Grove, Northern Hueytown (Luckily I was in the southern part), and other places that got hit hard. Thank the good lord that none of my family, or families' houses, got destroyed by the juggernaut of the tornado.
