Theres nothing hypocritical about anybody using insulin. it is ALL synthetic today. It was not tested on animals but humans, a dog pancreaswas used to extract insulin from and people were highly allergic to it before it was purified. Human tissue would have been just as viable. Animals had nothing to do with the discovery of insulin, it was scientists and scientists alone.

I know your having trouble understanding this but scientists found out the pancreas is the source of insulin. Humans have pancreases. Animals didn't discover insulin, scientists did and it had nothing to do with animals except they used animal pancreases. Scientists and science gave us insulin not animals. Your only object here is to try and discredit Peta who do a wonderfull job for animals, though obviously not for the ones that were previously used in testing, they are dead.

He says that humans are more intelligent- yet he isn't even intelligent enough to understand the concept of compassion and empathy- and doesn't realize how OUR cruelty is destroying everything! He doesn't realize that Love is always the BEST choice, and VIOLENCE, CRUELTY, ABUSE and KILLING is NOT LOVE. If humans are so "mentally superior", and animals are 'dumb', why are OUR 'higher' methods so destructive?

Sure, an animal can't write or organize a protest(if they could, they would without a doubt). But since you don't deny that they "do" have feelings, you cannot refuse to agree that the ones that are rescued have a look of relief in their eyes! They may not be able to speak and say thank you, but it's undenyable that even after being subjected to suffering an animal is willing to forgive.

Well, a cow obviously can't go hunting, because it does not need to hunt, it's an "hervivore"(so what kind of a question was that?) And if you don't want to become vegan that's your choice, but it's the ways that are treated that shocks even my 63 yr old mother who grew up in a small town where animals were given a good life and killed quickly. Instead of being mutilated and thrown into boiling water when still alive, that's what kills me about the arrogance of humans.

Testing on animals is unnecessary today with modern tecnology. Vegans have won olympic gold medals, body builder champions, tennis champions.(google vegan athletes) Everything the body needs is in vegetable life. The thought of eating a deer is disgusting to me.

PETA believes that it isn't appropriate to treat animals in a cruel fashion. It is inhumane and unnecessary. If I'm not mistaken the golden rule states to treat others the way you want to be treated. In our society we do nothing of the sort. We kill because we want to feel power. And that isn't right. God gave us FRUITS and VEGGIES so we could eat them. Not animals. We terrorize them because they cannot protest. Why they cant do than I am not sure.

I'll agree with you on that one. Animals are living creatures too, and shouldn't be tortured. They should be given the respect they deserve.
However, I refuse to stop eating meat, because it's a part of my lifestyle. And eventually something I do will hurt an innocent animal with or without my knowledge. So I might as well enjoy meat.
Besides, I'm in an economic situation, and meat is affordable, but fresh vegan foods (or any greens) are through the roof. So either I eat meat or I starve.
