I was impressed with the entire plot. I believe the reason Audrey's mother was staring out the window is she was wondering about "tomorrow". She works doubles shifts and makes sure there is always food cooked for her kids. Just asking God to continue to bless her. Great job, left me wanting more!

Great set up short for a feature. (Half Nelson). Shareeka Epps is going to do well. She has great screen presence. Languid pace off set by sense of impending events/danger/risk. Clever edit and music/nat sound mix. Couple of shots a tad under exposed and camera shake intrudes at times but probably made for under $100 + favors and friends, so a pretty good effort. Must now go and find the feature. 4/5

This has got to be the absolute BEST short film on Youtube.

This is what I got out of it:

The teacher was being bullied around by everyone in his life & was thinking about suicide. The girl saw this & was trying to help him. The mom was having deep thoughts on something (I couldn't figure that part out), and the brother represented peer pressure.

Although this was so well done, if I were to watch it again, I would probably conclude differently

The film also appears to allude to the concept of reconciliation. I gather that in Brooklyn the division between the black and white communities is somewhat apparent and thus, this film serves to breach that gap.
