  • Its not rare it's bullion

  • Don't bite

  • You've got to bite it to make sure it's real.

  • Your best off buying Australian gold sovereigns as they are considered rare and you can buy some dates at a little over bullion price, if you collect PCGS graded sovereigns you cant go wrong as you can buy in the top 10% grade and have mint state coins.

  • Its Gold bullion and not considered a coin let alone a rare gold coin, sorry

buy PCGS graded coins as they are verified by experts.

  • @beginization Very true! Not rare, just gold bullion, but very neat to have though.

  • @olebrent I am still impress and gold is good in any form and takes alot of sacrafice to purchase

I collect half sovereigns and it has cost me about $8,000 for 6 rare ones so far and the last one I need cost over $14,000

sometimes I wonder if I should have just purchased gold but I heard silver is at its lowest in 80 yrs and has only a limited supply, its about 60 times cheaper than it was long ago so makes good value to buy.

  • @beginization not trying to be a downer on the silver hoarders but, its not a good time to buy. Of course its always speculation but its at a peak point right now. even if it does go up it won't be much. silver is at almost 10x what it was a few years ago. The idea that it will go up for ever its true. I would invest more wisely and stick to coins with a collectible nature rather than a value tied directly to metal content.

  • @gtq838 I know what you mean but when you examine the price of silver compar to gold their s much more room for profit as it increases, I just buy old florins as they are a good way to buy silver cheap.

But I dont have much left over to buy silver since collecting gold sovereigns.

The pcgs coins cost double as grades are most important, a mark can destroy the value of a coin to bullion.

I dont keep my coins in a safe as the safe can be stolen, but keep them secure when they wont be found

  • its not a numitimatic coin its a gold round

  • my grandma has one just like this

  • ugly coin, throw it away .. .. throw it at me, my address is ....

  • thanks for the "nice" comment. The coin is 99.99% PURE GOLD

  • did you test it with acid?

  • @wistac123 Well...my point was valid too... you should keep it more safe it it is valuable not put it in plastic.

  • u r dumbass

  • @chickenpoper yeah, no, its real.

  • Fack !

  • Nice coin, I have many Silver prospectors but the Gold ones always carry a high premuim so I never purchased one.

  • this coin is 100% authentic

  • Gold is at 900 an ounce... Highly doubt this is real.

  • lol what?

  • That's pretty cool. I've seen plenty of silver Engelhard Prospectors, but not a gold one like that. Nice.

  • Your a fucking dumbshit if it was pure gold it would be easy to bend prove that shit.

  • by that do u mean bend it between ur fingers? cuz if u think that u can just take it and bend it that easily ur a fucking dumbshit

  • I'll give you 100.00 US Dollars for that coin..

  • it was from my relative

  • Oh goodie, it's an engelhard 1/4 ounce gold round, *****I'm so impressed..... How rare!*****

    Note: asterisks indicate blatant sarcasm

  • it is not gold plated...it is 99.99% pure gold......PURE GOLD!!!

  • if its pure gold where did you get the money (im asking because the price of gold is soo high

  • wow, u r dumb my friend, at the most it could cost would probably be around $250 that is if it is a quarter ounce of gold, i guess where u come from $250 is alot to come up with huh?

  • Gold plated

  • no gold is for higher priced items around $100 and up silver would e for lower priced items a silver dime is worth onlt $0.67 as of today

  • big deal, my grandpa gave me like 30 of them through out my life

  • why does my country use gold coins as 1$ coins?

  • They don't.

  • they do, singapore

  • I don't believe you. No one uses gold coins as currency.

  • go check it up on wiki

  • Look, if you really think your country uses gold as currency, go ahead and think it. It does not make it true.

  • did you check it up?

  • its prob gold colored coin like the us $1 coins

  • i knows but i cheked it out on wiki it says so O.o

  • Wikipedia isnt always correct....

  • The U.S coins are gold plated. The new presidential ones and the sagauwea ones are anyway.

  • Kind sir, I can assure you that no country in the world exchanges gold coins these days, commonplace. 1 ounce of pure gold is worth around $800 US dollars. What would you buy a loaf of bread with? A speck of gold dust>??

  • it is a Bullion coin (notice it said 1/4 oz ) witch means it is 1/4 of gold (probably a 300 $ peace of gold there

  • That is NOT a coin. It is a bullion ROUND. By definition, a coin must have been produced by a government AND be monetized ($1, $5, $10...etc). What you have is a scarce Engelhard 1/4 oz gold prospector round. With gold currently at around $850, that piece has about $212 worth of gold in it. However, due to its very high collectability, the real value would be closer to $275. Hope this helps.

  • where the hell did you get that gold coin!O:

  • nexy....I think it says on the back.....Engelhard Industries Division. Cool piece huh? 999.9 fine pure. I guess that's as pure as they come I'm thinking lol.

    SLA

  • hi thank you

  • The silver ones are worth about 35 dollars. The gold on the other hand is worth close to $250!

  • silver one is $18, gold is about $225.

  • i got a silver one of those, i dont know how much its worth tho
