They were likely preoccupied with making this and the X3: Reunion 2.0 patch all this time.

Besides, where were they getting the money to release so many patches? If you're giving it away for free, how can you earn any revenue to support the project?

And modders can be notoriously unprofessional. It's difficult to ensure someone acts professional without them being physically there in front of you to supervise them.

They most likely had this game planned and in production since the release of the first X3 Reunion. They will likely make the Terrans a new full empire including Earth and the such.

With that said if they didnt hire the XTM team I will help you murder them. :P

Heh, my previous comment could become an advertising slogan for a game.

Do you have a computer that can run X3 Reunion well? Mine chokes rather badly in an asteroid-filled sector or in medium sized battles.

mine can run X3 smoothly, and can even record smoothly on highest settings ;)

although my pc is 4 years old by now, it still does its job greatly. I won't get rid of it on the short term.

And I thought you said that Vector Prime made your PC lag! What kind of Graphics Card and CPU are you running in that powerhouse?

-intel P4 3ghz CPU (atm clocked at 2.8 ghw to make it last longer)

-GF7600GT 256mb

-1GB of RAM memory

total costs of the pc: €500,-

only at the biggest battles (100+ M6+ ships) it lags.

Wow, I have to get something like that sometime. How do you underclock a CPU anyway? Wouldn't better cooling help it last longer too?

i have a slightly higher setting, a dual 2.2ghz processor, and 3GB of memory. it only lags in like starwarzy battles, 50capital ships per side with hundreds of fighters and corvettes going at it. in one word AWESOME!
