The advice you're giving people is unsafe! How about not playing in features that look like lowhead dams they're drowning machines. Instead of saying don't be afraid to take on the river, how about "use good judgement and not jump on stretches of river that are beyond your abilities and exercise a healthy respect for the power of the river." not jumping into whitewater headfirst & when advising to use proper safety techniques, actually demonstrate proper safety techniques instead of wrong ones!
