I realised lisening some songs about how great vocal disponibilities she has, but she prefered more what ppl want...very cantable music,i was not surprised when her impressario declared that she used only a part of her singing potential(he said only 20%)..o yes Stark knew very well what he said...i am totally agree!

Whatever Mireille's merits may be as a soprano, one thing is for certain. She is the only singer in my lifetime able to bring tears of appreciation and sadness to my eyes with many of her performances.

Are you joke?...she has something of all together styles(more a tenoral vocal tehnic)..this is her "secret" and first at all such kind of beauty and noblece of a voice without any stridents...but for to be understood you need to lisen with atention her various repertoire.try "ma vie" for instance or "trois milliard de gens sur terre".

I didn't denie that she is a good singer. I too, like her french chansons in contrast to her german Schlagers. But she is not a singer for the classic music and opera like that of Bach, Händel a.s.o.

She used classic elements of vocal exprimation(diction, clear and full vocals,etc)..she worked at a time with a great teacher of opera canto who apreciated that she has voice even for opera(soprano) but she prefered pop music joining vocal qualities in a personal manner ...she sang WONDERFUL classic music  .. two albums in alemand in 1970...almost unknown by many people.

You need a robust talent for to sing with this phenomenal Domingo,and she really has this great talent for this wonderful duet!I am not surprised for what a great composer like Morricone choised her noble voice for some of his songs.Also here, another great composer Michele Legrand!

She sings here at a great class....it depends of a suitable song with a the vocal tehnic of each person and genre musical...for inctance she sings better la Marseillaise than Placido., or better in duo with Tom Jones singing her own song.

What a brave and courageous girl! How many singers of todays popular genre would have dared do what this girl just did. That was not easy.

Not only did she succeed, but she did so beautifully and brilliantly. A testimony to her application and dedication to work.
