@sshaula Basically what that article says is that first of all, public figures have to prove actual malice to win a legal suit, which is nearly impossible to ever win, especially against an opinion news show. And as far as the other guys, besides obama, (who is an obvious public figure) since they were involved in scandals with high media coverage, it would be hard for them to not be considered public figures now. So yeah, that's why nobody is suing him. Plus all that has died down now anyway

But the difference is more nuanced than that, it's that you actually have to prove malice, and the problem is that since 99% of beck's show is blind speculation and accusation, he could easily get off with just saying that he wasn't malicious.
