  • But doesn't the chlorine in the water kill the EM ?

  • @bugrist

We get this question often. First, the ceramics do not have any live microbes in them. The frequencies they emit support the growth of beneficial microbes. This is how they work.

Second, EM•1® and Activated EM•1® are pretty resistant to chlorine. We ran some tests are few years ago and found that they can withstand up to 6ppm for up to 20 minutes. Tap water is generally around 0.2ppm. It is actually more toxic to fish than to the EM•1®.

  • @EMAmericaEric Thank you very much for your answer !

Other sources describe the ceramics as having moulded the microbes inside, which is perplexing.

So by your saying, you still need another source of EM right ? And with the speed of the stream of water passing in the tube, are still the EM coming out or are we talking only about structuring the water ? Is only one pass not enough right ? Thank you a lot.

  • @bugrist

The ceramics emit an ultrasonic frequency that causes a vibration in the water. The vibration causes impurities that are stuck to water molecules to bounce off. Then impurities then adhere to the ceramic, eventually plugging up the ceramic. This is why we clean the ceramics by soaking in Activated EM1 from time to time.

You need the microbes in EM-1® to digest materials in water. In a pond or some type of lagoon the ceramics alone will not do much in the way of digestion.

  • Do you think that running springwater that has been treatet with bokashi balls is structured?

  • how long will this pi blaster pipe last before it needs to be cleaned or replaced?

  • @projectoutdream

It depends on the volume of water and the quality of water. As a rule of thumb, we suggest to remove and soak the unit in Activated EM1 every six months.

  • Oh and by the way - very nice music. Salsa is increasingly popular here in the UK.

  • @acorntechnique

I wish I had license agreements with other musicians so I could use more types of music. It fun to make these videos.

More should be on the way this year.

  • Interesting video and thanks for uploading!

so this device will structure water as it passes through yes?

what measurements have you taken as to the effects of this device?

how have you quantified the effects say compared to normal city water?

There are companies in the US selling similar devices with Glass interiors which sell for a $1000 and more.

  • I wrote the message below a week ago and i see you've logged in yesterday but I've not had a reply despite your question:

    'Was this clear enough.'

  • @acorntechnique

Yes, water gets structured as it passes through the ceramics. ORP drops significantly after one pass. Effects can be measured in Cl drop and ORP drop.

We do also use these units with carbon filters to pull out larger Total Dissolved Solids (TDS).

  • We generally hook these units up to tanks where we can circulate the water to make multiple passes. About 4 passes are ideal.

We have done a test with 55gallon of chlorinated water and were able to remove all Cl in 30 minutes with just one unit.

  • what device do you use to measure ORP?

  • @acorntechnique

An ORP meter. It is a hend-held

    electronic meter, much like a

    pH meter.

  • Like a pinpoint or something like that?

  • Was this clear enough? How do you like the Latin music?
