I'm almost done it (it is hard as hell [oh, a pun!] to track down a copy in Canada) but it is definitely the best-written story he's done so far. I think it's important people just take it as a story and try to find something in it (I think the 2nd half has thoughts and ideas everyone would agree is pretty decent: Love). I don't believe in the Hobbit, but it's a great story too. Just a thought.
Before bashing a book, read it. A book's description rarely does it justice and basing your opinions on what you think of the author rather than the book itself is foolish.

The description sounds like the secular, liberal left's idea of a great guy. I think I will pass. Yes, people read but they don't have to read junk just to say that one reads. I would rather go find a good story somewhere else.

You don't have to "agree" with a book in order to appreciate it. Again, my friends, this is a work of fiction. Can we all agree that fiction is a dive into an imaginary world?
I should hope so... and I also hope that more people will read and enjoy this book.
I love James Frey and would love to read this book...but...oh hell with it! I'm buying it tomorrow!
