I am looking to purchase one of these this weekend. Not a station wagon though, but everything else is the same. 114,000 miles; my dad thinks it won't be a smart purchase but I've only heard great things about these. And not to mention, they're truly beautiful
I have this exact same car and in the same color. Mine has 250,000 on it. The engine is still running strong and the only problem have had with the car is the cooling system. I have changed the radiator three times and now need a new head. I cracked the head in 2006 and had it welded and it lasted until now. I will fix it and keep driving it. My car is clean but not as clean as the one in this video.
I have a lot of bad thing to say about this car. But the engine in these are the best. We have about 220,344 miles in it and still running perfect. But the wiring in this car suck badly. A lot of things give out. Sun roof leaks and cracked and molded the back seat.

BMW needs to bring these beautiful traditional stylings back. These are amazingly beautiful! I cant wait to own one of these generation Bimmers someday!
i have the previous model ... its a model of 1991 and i have turned into the engine in 280 hp and 2500 ... i believe that this car is the most steady in the road... sorry for my english ... im from greece...
Owned a sedan for over 10 yrs. These are great durable cars. The thing though is maintence. When parts start going out , replacement parts and labor can be expensive. Not to mention the 2.5 liter engine is vastly underpowered. Nobody is gonna confuse that car with a 2002. E34s were built from 88 to 95. Looks great with over 200k on it though.
@Saabkyle04 you forget to show us how the Rearwindow can be open seperate of the Trunk. The Rearwindow opener is right beside of the Trunk opener. Love the e34
I drive a 1995 BMW 525i sedan. It has 206,000 miles and is just unstoppable. The E34 5 series is considered still to be the most reliable BMW ever built and I believe it. Simply brilliant cars in every single aspect. How many 15 year old cars can you say that about?
I have a question for american E34 owners: The sticks for the indicators and wipers(sorry dont know the name) have drwan a book and a phone, what´s that for? I´ve never seen that in European E34s.
@shagynajera at 03:59 you can see the engine, at the front of the engine near the fan is a small boss, just google "325 vanos" and search photos you will see. It's hard to explain for me as English isn't my native language... Also I had 325 -93 with vanos few years back...
the 1988-1996 BMW 525 was assembled in Dingolfing, Germany Toluca, Mexico Chennai, India Cairo, Egypt Shenyang, China Jakarta, Indonesia Kaliningrad, Russia 6th of October City, Egypt Tehran, Iran Manaus, Brazil Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia
This car looks unbelievable for 264K miles. The engine, interior and exterior look impeccable, as if it was rarely used. Very nice. A steal at under $4K
This BMW has high mileage but the car and engine doesn't look like it has that much mileage, the previous really kept it in mind condition. i really like the dashboard and gauge design in this specific year of the BMW's.
I like newer BMW's, but there is something in those old ones that doesn't seem to be there in these. I mean, could you imagine the BMW that released this putting out the X6?
@toyota4life94 Yeah, some SUVs are still (or again) good for offroading ... my main point was the fact that wagons handle much, much better in comparison to SUVs tho. And they need less fuel due to the fact that they weight less and therefore need less powerful engines to achieve the same performance.

hi kyle, i have one suggestion for you, and you should say a little quote that goes w/ the car, e.g. in this video, "A true beautiful bavarian classic or for a camry (i personally hate them) "A Japanese Shitbox." something like that.
to bad the wagons never caught back on, dad says these were the vans of his day! late 50's to late 70's they ruled the road! But after a retry in early 2000 by Daimler (Dodge Magnum) and Ford (Freestyle), it was pretty clear that for larger pass. cars, the cross-overs now had it... Only larger wagon I can think of today (for normal people) is the Flex, but I think its even classified as a C/O
