Why Shotokai is not popular as Shotokan? - In my opinion it's because Shotokan, and in particular JKA, were organised and operated more along business principles. They understood for karate to become popular it would need to become international. Thus they developed world class instructors (many with degrees in economics) and exported them to all over the world.

von meister gichin funakoshi war, und wie man weiss war meister egami

der eigentliche nachfolger von funakoshi und nicht die jka wie alle glauben.

aus diesen grund wurde von egami der shotokai still entwickelt.
