  • yeah..his brother aaron's day came. what delusional idiot.

  • In a an insane society doing the right thing is punishable. Any human being could correctly judge the situation and understand her pain, but the justice system is no human being. It is a set of rules and it has no empathy, it does not know all the facts and it is deeply flawed. We humans have a justice system because we have lost our common sense. Wendy is a saintly person, just look at her face and you will see the size and strenght of her soul. This docu was very sad but her smile comforts me.

  • This is so sad!

  • FUCK THIS DISGUSTING WORLD. A mother and her children get beaten, tortured, TORMENTED for years on end and then get placed in jail when decide they have had enough and fight for their lives back. This is whats fucked up about this life. Everything is done by strict rules, order, procedures you have to follow with no heart or compassion - and its valid up to a certain extent. This just crosses every line. Fuck the system. Everyone knows Wendy and Randy should not even step foot in any jail.

  • Arons brother needed to relax and not try to cover the sun with a finger. Meaning don't cover the obvious . His brother was a sick bastard fuck and got what he deserved .

  • I keep saying he was sick fuck !!! People just look at his crazy stupid face, he got it good and Wendy was a brave woman she did the right thing to protect her family and lest be hones we all know that the law wouldn't have done a fucking thing until someone died, and I think we all know it is obvious

  • This is absolutely heart-breaking.

  • fuck the system , it never truly works , i am glad she did what she did , he so deserved worse , but it least his kids dont have to look over there shoulder. and his brothers tyrant just shows hes a sic fuck too

  • On a slightly brighter note I suppose, notice how during the four days of filming she smiles like 8 million times? She knows she's going to prison for 10 years, and she still seems happy. After her husband, prison probably seems like a vacation.

I wish he was still alive so that I could hit him in the head with a hammer.

Also to the dudes bro: Congratulations, you're retarded. No one believes you.

  • @MentosMan727 Thank you, well said! I mean, she and her brother were f**king happy to spend yrs in jail! !!

that man was pure toilet evil in their life. I can relate to this doc, and what you said put a smile on my face

  • Im not as angry with the husband as i am with the system. fuck the system

  • @salimusica Yeah this is the type of thing that makes you say "wtf." She did cop a plea but I probably would've too, even being completely in the right, for a solid ten years rather than the possibility of life without parole. There's only one person who can help her, the governor of Oregon. The last one refused to grant clemency for what I suspect were political reasons. This woman was tortured by her husband and took the only action she could to save herself and her kids.

  • @salimusica because theres a certain part of u that is dead inside. you need to deal with that issue

  • This is the saddest thing I've everseen. God please bless this family and restore their hearts, minds and spirits.

  • how the heck do you call that a justice system? why do we live in a society where stuff like this happens everyday to countless people. then what do you do? why has the system been created to maintain the structure the way it is? why is no one doing anything?

  • There is on comment here asking why she looked happy with a smile? You should watch the documentary again, in the videos she looked so freaking scared of him, he made her smile and she barely did.....Now she must be happy but is a relieved feeling, that she doesn't have to worry about that monster anymore hurting her or her children, that is why she seems happy. I wish the best for this family and their mental health after all they went through.

  • @LiliabelM I agree; if you look at the videos you can tell her smile never reached her eyes

  • that judge should be ashamed of himself. he should be doing what he can to get Wendy out. disgusting judge!!! He said this is the worst case of domestic abuse he has ever heard of..... then sentences them to XXX months in jail. it's Years!!

  • wow! okay Randy is getting out this month!

  • I knew a guy who killed his father with a shotgun blast, and afterwards, he was still afraid of him, so to me Wendy's assertion that she was relieved to find out Aaron was really dead makes sense to me.

  • i hope randy is able to take care of his brothers

  • Randy is getting released soon...

  • idk guys im kinda going with paul on this one because she don't take like she got beat the shit out of her seriously don't you think she be misrible or crying all the time it seems every time i see her on this shes happy an grining evan when telling those disturbing storys satan knows he will punish her if she lyed.

  • @MrSatanStalker666 read one of my posts, she isn't lying.

  • Aaron's brother didn't even seem interested in attesting to his brother's character. All he did was threaten Wendy. Pretty fucking telling.

  • Some judicial system we have that punishes any human being for defending their own life and the lives of their children. Being entitled to protect your family is a God-given right that supersedes any court. This guy was a fucking monster from hell. She did society a favor. More important than that, she was keeping her kids from harm. Just like putting a coat on them before they went outside in the winter. Maternal instincts, nothing less.

  • to all fathers...please! treat your daughters with respect and understanding !!! if you treat your daughters bad then it will be how they let men treat them all of their lives......

  • the neighbors, family and friends are lucky she killed him before he killed one of them. pussies

  • My anger lies primarily with the dozens of neighbors interviewed after the fact, who didn't intervene yet were able to describe how awful the abuse was after the fact. While I understand, no doubt, that Wendy may have told some of them not to ask for help out of fear, I am saddened that *nobody* appears to have called for help on her behalf (at least so far as this admittedly biased documentary shows).

I fear the ability of people to dismiss such events as "somebody else's problem."

  • @SSgtParmer

Your ignorance sickens me. Get off the internet.

  • This sickens me. At least in the UK we are making progress. "Women who kill abusive partners could escape conviction for murder if they can prove they lived in "fear of serious violence"

  • @xsmokeandmirrorsxx Ostensibly, we have the same kind of laws in the U.S. that give leniency in self defense cases like this. The problem lies in their implementation. There are a lot of victim blamers out there, and many of them end up in juries and on judge's benches.

  • I literally Cried when that boy read that letter and when felt all the fucken pain these kids had to endure .. I can't imagine the pain these kids suffer ..

  • In the midwest, killing a medical provider of abortions may soon qualify as justifiable homicide. Yet, this country sends women and children to prison after prolonged assaults on their lives push them beyond their endurance point. Cases like these should be tried and classified as justifiable homicide because while it may seem strange, In this and other similar cases, the dead should be held accountable for the outcome of his their demise, not the victims of their prolonged assaults.

  • Only god knows! I feel like something is missing here, like there was some abuse, but living in the described abuse seems almost impossible to not leave more signs of it. I think if all of them went through lie detector test then I would find it easier to believe it all. I really think he was a big bully that got out of control to often. The friends are funny How in the world do u know whats happening and not do something

  • @TheCrimeslayer You are EXACTLY why they didn't try for a jury trial. one idiot that needs to see more broken bones, or there should have been more ER visits for it to be REAL abuse. Lie detectors aren't proof of anything - jurors have to have common sense. Please never serve on one.

  • @TheCrimeslayer I can tell you with 100% certinty that they were horribly abused, ya know why? I lived above them with my wife and 2 kids. We would hear him at night, he was a terrible person who deserved what he got.

  • What amazing children these boys are. And their mother. It sickens me that not only did they live through this but that now two of them are serving time. My thoughts go to all of your family and I truly believe you committed no crime, just saved your son's and brother :-) Randy you are wonderful and your mother is great. No one should ever have to live through what your family has.

  • Does anyone know if Wendy & Randy's lawyer was court-appointed or privately hired?

  • @crysta2k2 This is Tyler Maldonado. They were court appointed

  • omg i would have done exactly the same thing

  • @SSgtParmer you are obviously one of the ridiculous impotent idiots who can only be noticed when abusing people anonymously on the net.

  • @SSgtParmer I'm guessing you don't live in Grants Pass, our police force is a joke. I actually lived in that green house ABOVE them with my family, I had some serious chills watching this doc. (I didn't even know they made one) He was a horrible human that got what he deserved. I didn't talk to them that much because HE was a complete asshole, her and her kids were always nice when I talked to them. I remember nights we'd hear him yelling at them for long periods of time.

  • @SSgtParmer Just as disturbing as the heinous abuse that this sick person inflicted upon his poor family, is the fact that you 'Sgt Parmer' (apparently a 30 year old who is "proud to be an American") would come on here and attack, in writing, a young boy who has clearly been through more shit than you will ever come across in your pathetic meatheaded life. I don't make a habit of venting my spleen on the internet, but i'm making a special effort in your case, you disgrace to the human beings.

  • What disturbs me. Really fucking disturbs me about this documentary is all the people who knew about this, and didn't do a damn fucking thing.

  • @SSgtParmer

    Part 3:

You probably want to know that your wife would go away for life after she finally wises up and takes you out.

You're a piece of trash and probably a redneck teabagger who believes a woman's place is in the home, barefoot and pregnant, and blackeyed.

    Scumbag.

  • @SSgtParmer

    Part 2:

You, sir, are a disgrace to this country's military and as a human being. If you even are a Staff Sergeant.

It's easy to say things on the internet, but I think you could never utter your words or back them up in real life.

You're probably ranting on because your wife is cowering in the corner of your living room after you've gone to town on her with your fists and it makes you feel like such a man.

  • @SSgtParmer

    Part 1:

You obviously know nothing about domestic violence. Many women stay because they feel so threatened that he would hunt them down and kill them, their children, or their families. Many women stay with their abusers because that is all they know and are afraid or are told it will never happen again.

It's easy for a man or someone outside of that kind of sitruation to understand. It's easy to say, "I'd call the cops... etc." But you've never been there.

  • @SSgtParmer This is Tyler the one who wrote and spoke the statement in court. First of all the defense team didn't even give suggestions to add to my statment, everything you heard came from my mind no one elses. People stopped speaking for me the day that asshole died. Second of all you obviously have not been in a situation like this because the day after you got the abusive person thrown in jail they would let him out, so that very next day, you would be dead. So thanks for the ignorant input

  • @Ironvane92 If this is indeed Tyler, the boy who spoke in court, i just want to say i found what you said in the court very moving and believe the bravery shown by you, your mother, and your siblings through the awful ordeal you've suffered to be utterly inspiring and heroic.

  • God needs to get off his ass- this woman and family have been through enough!

  • Gosh Wendy, Randal and her boys you have so much dignity and integrity.

So much courage, There is nothing else to say apart I am speachless and stunned at the injustice of the justice system in Oregen and the US.

  • I keep wondering how Aaron became such an incredible monster. Was it due to the mind-altering drugs he consumed during his involvement with hippiedom?

I pray that Wendy and her family will draw close to Jesus for peace, comfort, strength, courage and deliverance from their earthly troubles. May God raise people to help them. There's nothing that He cannot do.

  • @achahei lol - past drug use? um, no. i doubt it.

  • Someone needs to keep an eye on Aaron's brother, Paul - he seems just as every bit of a monster as Aaron was, and I fear he probably treats his family (if he even has one) in the same terrible manner.

In any case, I hope Randy is eligible to be released next August.

  • @BeardedFrog7 i think paul is just angry because his brother, whom it's clear he loved ( and didn't or chose not to truly know ) was killed. i think the whole thing would be hard for anyone to take in if they were in his shoes.

paul gets a pass - unlike his brother, all he did was shout.

  • @Diannakw True, all he did was shout. Although they do say, the apple does not fall far from the tree, and it's possible Arron+Paul have aggressive/violent tendencies through genetic lineages.

But then again, it's also very possible Arron could have been the genetic "black sheep" of his family and no one else had that problem! I will give him the benefit of the doubt since a) like you said, we'd all be angry one way or another if we were in his shoes, and b) lack of info of their family history.

  • @BeardedFrog7 well, who really knows what turns somebody into a monster, or brings the monster that could be in all of us out? genetics, childhood/abusive upbringing, mental illness, substance abuse (alcohol), TV violence (doubt it), rap music (doubt it), or a combination of any one of those factors. you name it, the jury's still out.

paul could have said a lot of terrible things in his anger, but essentially just said (shouted) was that he can leave it up to god. i feel bad for him.

  • i love em too...theyll b home soon tho

  • Aarons brother is an idiot! God will accept her, and cherish her! He will make all the pain she went through with that IDIOT go away!

  • His brother is a fucking LIAR, I lived above them in the green house (on Dawn Dr. in Grants Pass) and he was ALWAYS yelling at them. He was a horrible human being and deserved what he got. I just wish it had happened sooner so those poor people didn't have to go through all this shit. They shouldn't have spent a moment in jail IMO. Let that bastard rot in hell.

  • @sgtpepper1138 hopefully Randy is out of Jail? IS the mom still in Jail? this is so sad and there was no justice for them. I hate the fucking american justice system.

  • @khalilahinjapan Not sure, haven't heard anything about them in quite awhile. I hope they get their lives back on track, they were always nice whenever I saw them.

  • @khalilahinjapan Randy got out about 2 months ago. Not a lot of press or anything about it, strictly low profile I believe. Maybe due to the fact that he was in juvi. Wendy is still in prison. Release is sometime in 2015 I believe.

  • OMG his Aaron's brother is just as insane as he was!!

  • @003pao its amazing how blind people can be! Aaron's brother does not see the pain in the kids and wife, does not care for the evidence of severe abuse the family suffered by the hand of his deranged brother, I'd be careful of him if I were Wendy and Randy, he might wanna fulfill his lost brother's dream, to kill his whole family...

  • @003pao i am a sophomore and i watched this in law class, i fell in love with the story and the family immediatly. i think pretty much the whole class cried including me. i may not have any idea what it was like for them but i feel for them, not for their loss, but their gain. theyre free from his wrath. If anyone went to hell it was Aaron. Paul (Aarons brother) may not have seen the crazy side of Aaron, or mabey hes just using "family" as an excuse we will never really know. Wendy and Randy..

  • shouldnt of gotten charged, if they took it to trial, there is no doubt in my mind that they wouldnt have won there were just too many witnesses in this case. the law may not be able to ignore the fact there was a life taken but it should take into consideration that many more were saved.

  • why?

  • That poor wonderful kid. God be w/ him and his brothers and Mom! I don't know these

people but I love them!!! Deeply
