  • what pound line u use?

  • @SitocawithSorento It depends on the wind. Usually I use 450 pound braided Dacron, typically about 200 to 300 feet of it. If the wind is fairly weak, I may switch to 200 pound braided Dacron to reduce drag.

The bottom face is a little more than 38 square feet, so if using the rule of thumb of 5 pounds per square foot, 200 pound line is fine for this kite. I like the thicker line simply because it is easier on the hands to work with, and for safety if the wind picks up.

  • @orthicon9 i have a sutton 3x4m im using 500pound of polylester line,wouold it be fine?

  • @SitocawithSorento That sounds like a Sutton 60.

300-500 pound line is recommended, at foreverflying . com / sutton . html

    Yes, it should be okay.
