dope beat bro :D....i bought one few days ago really need help, figuring out how do i make the beat on the software, like i can make one loop, but how di i continue the loop and add extra layers, i cant find the master screen, im confused, like you know in garage band or fl studio you can just add loops and layers to a master screen, wheres that on maschine software?
@shnooblog just drag and drop samples from your pc or if you want to record from vinyl or another audio source then you need a soundcard.. you can edit samples on the maschine and record with it without having to touch the pc.. the maschine has to be connected to your pc tho, its like a big controller for some software on the pc really.. i dont actually own one (yet) so correct me if im wrong with that..
@shnooblog i dont think it has like an audio output either so youll need a soundcard/audio interface to connect to your speakers i guess, correct me on that too if im wrong.. go watch some of the tutorial videos from native instruments to get a better idea of what it does.. im definately getting one of these, it just has so many different uses..
i've just bought maschine and i would like to know if i can load songs or audios from my computer to the maschine for sampling sonsg that i have in my pc
@HarpoonSlazenger - as i never owned any of the two, i can't tell. But the former mpc users in the Maschine forum from NI are all very happy with them. You'll have to try them yourself i guess - cheers.
Hmm,the software you are using should be able to sort that out.
time stretch the sample on your software and trigger the sample with your maschine...after all,the maschine is more of a midi controller,it doesnt time stretch the sample, its the software that does that.
HS thanks for the reply. I get that the Maschine is just a hardware controller but for me the software that it comes with isn't really that revolutionary. Its got great kits but to bill it as an MPC replacement I think it should have time stretch capabilities. I'm just saying to those who might buy this be aware that it is just a hardware controller and a decent DAW would give you similar and cheaper results.
@HarpoonSlazenger i guess they kinda look like the SP, but c'mon, an MPC is an MPC as a SP is a SP. Maschine is just a thing apart from them. I prefer to work with the MPC. maschine doesnt come even close to these two classic hardwares (MPC and SP)
@akarc24 maschine can record samples directly to disk, thru its software or thru your daw as a plugin. it can record any inputs from external sources thru sound card or internal sources.
There is a music shop that sells the education version which is the same as the full version on ebay. just ebay NI Maschine. $395 shipped 100% same as if you went to Guitar Center.
I just use it as a hobby, but when is the last time you heard of anyone producing something and then someone asks to see a receipt for their equipment.
Can't sell it? Says who?? I can sell it tomorrow if I want.
i got mine 2 days ago.... i like mashine is because it looks like alot of fun to use and it doesn't take up alot of room like those big synths does... great video, keep posting those great tunes

so can you customize each button to play different sounds? because then people could play differunt dubstep wubs and make really easy dubstep songs.

@akarc24 as Maschine is basically just software with a dedicated controller, it all depends on your soundcard. Cheers.

@akarc24 maschine can record samples directly to disk, thru its software or thru your daw as a plugin. it can record any inputs from external sources thru sound card or internal sources.
