Considero a PHIL COLLINS el mejor baterista de la historia y si puedes tocar una canción tan difícil como es Watcher of the Sky me quito el sombrero y te felicito!!! Eres un muy buen baterista
Nice playing - all off it looked true to from a la Phil Collins, but I was hoping for those fills in the end to be with one pedal, as Phil plays a single pedal on his kick drum...
From a fellow drummer : Super Job mister. Hope you will check out some other great prog. music like Transatlantic, Spocks Beard, Pendragon, and play some of that for us as well. Very very impressed.
wow that's impressing. So perfect. Amazing memory. I hope you have a mini drumset for your performance cause installing all this one must take you half day. well that's show business
It just confirms to me that I *never* ever would have made it as a drummer, my playing is just sooooo basic !!
Plus, I'm very undisciplined. I bet you can play that again and again and it'd sound just as good/the same each time. Man, I just want to improvise all the time and can never do what you do.
Plus, aren't PC's pieces so much harder when he was younger ?!?!! My playing is about the level of 'Duke'.
Superb! Really impressive AND just shows that people who slag off Collins don't have clue 1 what they are talking about. Cheers for the video - loved it.
@MauroPWA I made my drum myself, I explain a little bit about ir on my channel but I plan on making another bass drum. Maybe I'll make a video "how to make a drum"... to be continued...
Congratulations!!!! Her you can perfectly see how sofisticated music has been arranged in the 70s by groups like Genesis, great dynamics, very well done!!!!
I'd say he was wearing an in ear system as if you look he's got a cable coming up his back and into his ears, only noticeable if you look really carefully!
Really well done, a great song and a proper chance to see one half of the rythem section work.. keep it up..what about "21st centuary schzoid man" from early chrims for desert?...
Nice cover! I love those songs! I don't know if it's because of the video or of me or if it's really like this, but your shells seem very thick. What brand is your drum kit?
You should play Apoalypse in 9/8. I think you would like it!
Awesome job! This kind of music really separates the men from the boys. Anybody can drum to a lot of the crap that's out there now masquerading as progressive rock. You were spot on. Balls.
Thanks Jeff! You are a great help putting watcher up for us all! My band Tribute might be covering this song. Now,You helped me (on drums) get a bit closer to how the parts fit together, especially the part at 6:15. It took me like 33 listens to get it right. Now its practice getting it tight with the band. Thanks again. ~Roy
I literally am just getting this song down pat on the drums, and boy is it fun to play! 6/4 is how i have been counting, but i have an eaier time feeling it than playing it! By the way, Fantastic cover! i couldnt of seen it done better! SOO good!
I seen Genesis do this live with Pete. Fox, in Atlanta. I became an instant fan when I seen them on Midnight Special. Your drumming is perfect. Phil once claimed he drumed too much in the older songs. I say he was perfect.
Drummer to drummer: very well done! Love the older Genesis, saw their most recent tour last year......I've seen them 5 or 6 times live but have never seen them play this song. This is one of my all time Genesis favorites.......please post more! (In the cage.....?)
Very good. You've got that sounding very solid. I've tried to work on this from the live version but it's just too much. I think I'll try the original version.

Ok if you want to count, the song is in 6/4 which mean that jayseppie was right saying 1-4 and 1-2 (which totalize 6)
You can count the main pattern 1234 1 1 1 12 123 123 or 4+1+1+1+2+3+3 or 3X32th+5X16th+1X32th+1X16th+2X32th+1X16th+2X32th+1X16th
