Is there a way to work on clips on my hard drive without "importing" it? It creates two copies of the same clip on my hard drive. I hate it, it's just like using iMovie! Previous versions of FCP let me just drop the video clips in, without making a copy of it first.
@EPS5000 Well, you always have to import clips on your hard drive to an FCPX "Event," but you can avoid creating copies. In the Import settings dialog, uncheck "Copy files to Final Cut Events folder." Then, when you click Import, FCPX will create aliases in its event folder instead of copying the entire clips over. If you want, you can also click and drag files directly from a Finder window into an FCPX Event.

Can you multi-clip edit in FCP X?

I went back to using FCP 7, I hate FCP X.

Great tutorial. Though pros are not using this version because all the useful features were stripped out.
