This was pretty interesting. I'm about to study abroad in Spain, so I'm always interested to find out how America is viewed by other people. Private schools don't really make a difference in education (there are the horrendous ones then the good ones) like public schools I happen to go to an excelent public school. I have amazing grades. Nobody realy fails a grade in my school. They don't come that close to failing too much either, only a few go to summer school. I plan to go to Cornell (2 hours away from me) for college.
Um no it isn't I live in the Untied States. Us teenagers are more disciplined than you think. We aren't all obese or overweight either, actually most of the people I know are a very healthy weight. Lastly I want to point out that perfection is unattainable. An imperfection will always exist in the eyes of another. Imperfection in society is being different from another. I finished off the last 2 years of high school in the US. I think that other immigrants who come to the US as adults have it harder. East Africa, where I'm from is so different. America can be an emotionally nasty place due to learned paranoia on the part of various groups. Culture shock can be overcome if people in the host country are hospitable, often that isn't the case. People who migrated to the U.S in the 70s and 90s were often socially victimized and attest to Americans being very arrogant, rude and relucant to integrate them in mainstream American culture.

I was born and raised in the USA. I am an Expat and every time I return to the USA I have culture chock. America is insanely idiotic, backwards and scary and every time I go home I get freaked out by something new.

When you leave the USA you realize how dysfunctional and arrogant our society is. America is one of the least free places I can think of. Only in the USA have I been harassed by the police. Only in America have I been handcuffed. Only because I am American I face prejudice everywhere else in the world.
