  • I love that hand gun...

  • There's a video floating around on youtube somewhere of a Ruger 10/22 with a 2 foot long silencer that makes the gun almost completely silent, basically the only report is the action recoiling.

  • Direct blowback 9x18 with an integral silencer sure seems loud. Very neat design, though!

  • Its not too loud. Its queiter than a 45 ACP suppressed pistol with a wet can. There is a ported barrel to help the direct blowback from unlocking too quickly.

  • well maybe not that quiet. sounds more like a CO2 pellet pistol. well i cant tell if that snap noise is the bullet hitting the target or the action of the pistol.

  • And your not supposed to call them silencers anyway. There called suppressors. The idea isn't to make the gun silent but to mask its sound.

  • Actually, on a pistol the correct term is "silencer". However, on a long gun, like an SMG or rifle, it is indeed referred to as a suppressor.

  • actually the term is addressed by the way it modifies/silents the guns sound

  • sounds like his silencer is worn out, shouldnt be much louder than the hammer clicking

  • The silencer does not wear out because there's no contact with the bullet. No sileced gun is truly silent. Well, in Hollywood, maybe.

  • depends what silencer you are using. if you are using one that has wipes on the inside they wear out and becomes loud again. I might have only fired weaker pistols than the one you are also.

  • That's why I said "THE silencer" instead of " A silencer" :) The PB suppressor lets the bullet pass through without contact while cooling the gases with steel wool.

  • Its a 2 stage supressor. One part with the steel wool around the ported barrel, then th typical baffle supressor which screws on. Its a shame that there probably isnt a single one of these in america.

  • Although the good thing about suppressors with wipes is that they are usually made to take regular supersonic rifle ammo and make it subsonic. This lets you use easily available ammo, and cycle the action of your firearm. But they do wear out, sadly, and pretty quickly too.

  • It's not for Hollywood, either. It makes that horrid "pearnt" noise in Hollywood.

  • @Omsbon Using a high-quality suppressor and a subsonic round you can get near-silence. With an ar14 m4 using the subsonic rounds and a good can you usually get very quiet results.

  • ...as long no one bashes this movie and creat comment war here.

  • So that's what a silenced pistol REALLY sounds like.

    Curse you, foley artists!

(Hey, next could you record a horse walking, a sword being drawn, footsteps in snow, and punching someone? ;-)

  • lol yeh same before i always thought i sounded like that sound on movies like an ... well iu no that "offnn" sound lol

  • ninjapunk, have a point. It is a good gun to blend in.

  • wow it sounds just like people working on rooftops, which is not an uncommon sound in suburban areas, if you catch my drift

  • so quite....
