@jaredscoots11 yeah I know what that is like. We tend to put a blow up boat in and row them across where not many people get to and drop them out without ropes or floats. Tend to get more catch away from the normal fishing spots.
@pcp77 Hi mate. Pretty much anywhere except now is not the time for redclaw. They run same as the crabs any month with an R in it. SeptembeR, NovembeR, DecembeR, JanuaRy, you get the gist. Water too cold now.
I just wanna let people know although its already quite obvious. But these size crawfish are the type that can tear your skin off if you're not careful. It dosn't look like it but believe me.
just wondering how deep the water is where your pots are laying? swim them out deep? and bait, there are so many stories from spuds to soap! what did you snag these ones on?
hay mate me and my mate went to north pine dam on monday we only had 5 yabbie pots but we got 12 relly good red claws it was good,going there this weekend to get some more
be careful of the bigger traps, dpi and epa dont like them due to the fact turtles can drown in them

@jaredscoots11
Yeah plenty of turtles in the dam that will swim off with the trap as well. We put ours in waste deep no problems.

@crayfishmates do you catch many out there ?
jaredscoots11 9 months ago
@jaredscoots11
I have not fished it for a year. When the dam was low two years ago we would pull around the 200 mark out of the traps left to soak overnight.
