  • I Love Park Ave's!...the Ultimate Sleeper!

  • good vid - the ultra is one of the great sleepers - I own to Monte SS's but would have loved to have gotten the supercharged version. I had serioudly considered getting the ultra and would if the oppurtunity came up.

  • no offence wait take ofence for all the shit you did to it thats pretty embarresing no lie my 2001 buick regal gs with stand alone and chip 3.4 pulley cold air tornado intake extreme belts performance and no cats with 2.5inch straights mine with out slicks would sit there no movment roast tires and i eat like to eat c6 and c5s on the strip just saying you need computer on it or something or wild cam

  • @kalinfeirg If you have a stand-alone on a Series2, or you're using a Tornado intake, you're a moron. The fastest 3800s on the planet use a re-programmed stock GM PCM. It runs the motor better than any stand-alone. And "Tornado" intakes are dyno-proven to restrict air-flow and reduce power. Keep your bullshit to yourself. Otherwise, come to RegalGS.org, and show pics, timeslips, and dyno-charts.

I have a feeling I won't be hearing from you there any time soon, you stupid troll.

  • @daltonultra I agree I have been building the little beasties since I put my first 92 bonneville sc pulley on my first 95 riv... anyone in the know understands. Gm systems work the best if you got the cash to pay to reprogram them or someone whom does it nearby. I AGREE PEOPLE WITH no clue WHAT THEY ARE SPEWING SHOULD JUST SHUT UP OR GET OUT AND LEARN SOMETHING TORNADO IS A FRIGGIN JOKE MAKE ONE OUT OF A COFFEE CAN FOR 3 CENTS

  • @series1riv Absolutely. The HPTuners tuning software can reset almost every parameter that has anything to do with producing power, and monitors at much higher rates than most stand-alones. And for the cost of a dyno tuning session with a shop that has an HPTuners VCM, you can barely buy a crappy stand-alone, much less actually tune it right. Stand-alones are ONLY meant for cars whose computers are extremely restricted or primitive.

  • @kalinfeirg I just blocked this faggot, too, so I don't know if he'll see this, but the vid wasn't even made at full throttle. I was showing the stripe it left behind, and at full throttle, it would peg off the limiter at 58mph in first gear, try to select second, drop back to first...not good for the trans. This little dingleberry doesn't actually OWN a 3800, so he doesn't know about the problems with doing burnouts on a 4T65E-HD.

  • @kalinfeirg haha tornado intake bahaaaaaaaa posin ass loser

  • @kalinfeirg

holy fuck you're the biggest dumbass I've ever read any posts from.

  • i love this fucking video so much, i have a 94 buick PA ULTRA and i love how suprised people are when they look at my car and think they can beat it, then well get on the line and run em and ill spank ass everytime. by the way this car well out run a 02 Mustang GT from start to finish.

  • HI daltonultra I just got your email any help with this would be great . My buick is also due for smog check haha great think its time to drive her off a big hill but I love it to much to see it go boom

  • @v6ish I checked my Manual, and I hate to say it, but I can't find anything else on that code. Probably gonna have to consult with a mechanic.

  • HI I have a 2000 buick park ave. I have been having trouble with the trans has a very hard shift from 1st to 2nd gear and it also had a service eng soon light on. I took it to get scaned came back with code p1811. Had the intake resealed had a leak thought maybe that was it. The shift seams to be worse when it gets to a warmer temp the light has stayed off for now. Any help from anyone would be great this buick is not a supercharged 3.8 just a 3.8 Thank you

  • @v6ish

I looked up that DTC, and it says: P1811 Maximum Adapt And Long Shift.

I think this means it's putting maximum line pressure into the shift. It's definitely something that's going to cause major problems. I'll pull my Factory Service Manual out tomorrow and see if I can find more info on it.

  • Ya its slipping somewhere... two turbine speeds are varied from acceptable or something on that order... time for new transaxle soon lol

  • very nice car dude and the sound is perfect !! nice burnout too ;)

  • If you're squealing a front wheel v6, you know it's quality built. peace love Buick.

  • Love the park ave. I have a 2000 with 130.000 miles. I put duals on it cut off the resonator and installed two chamber flowmasters with a k&n fillter.

  • I imagine you have a cold air intake? what did you do with the computer, i just got an intake for my 98 ultra and i just found out that the computer is in that box near the intake and i have no idea what to do with it. any ideas? I would really appreciate it

  • The CAI I have is an INTENSE-Racing Fender-Well Intake kit, and it comes with a plastic tray for the PCM, with a heavy metal clip to keep it in place. It takes some finesse to get it located right, but it does work.

  • Oh, make sure NOT to unplug the PCM when you take it out of the box. It's not necessary to do so, and if you do, you have to have a CASE learn done by the dealer to get everything working right again.

If you want, drop me a private message when you get ready to do the work, and I can send you a step-by-step.

  • If you get a chance, look up some of the videos from Australia of the L67 Commodores and Calais's. The exhaust set-up on them is much different, and they sound incredible. The length of the crossover on the FWD set-up is JUST wrong, and IIRC, bring the exhaust pulses from 2 cylinders in simultaneously, which causes the weird note they have.

Actually, look up the Brunton Automotive Super Stalker. It's a Lotus 7 replica with an L67. Sounds damned sexy...

  • I love these engines but I hate how they sound. The whine is cool but the exhaust sounds worse than a 4 banger. It's like a farting noise.

Then again, the only v6 sound that I like is the r32.

I'm am acutally gonna get a car like this if everything goes through.

  • cool

  • ha funny made it sound bad when u had the e brake pulled on that launch

  • Didn't use the E-brake. Cold weather means tons of power, and ounces of grip. That makes it easy to modulate the gas and keep the fronts just on the edge of hooking up. The reason I let off was too avoid going over a nasty bump with the tires spinning. That can get hard on the trans.

  • the l67 is doing does burn without E-Brake the tire sound is the torque that it gave directly to the wheels so do write anything when you never drive one or if you ride one it was not a supercharged one because you can play with the throttle at start for burning rubber dude !!!!

  • I like Borla, but they're just too expensive. The Hookers cost me about $60 apiece.

The "chainsaw" sound is native to the motor anyway. You can take the edge off the rasp with different mufflers, or with a resonator, but the underlying sound is still going to be the same, no matter what.

  • not borla :)

  • Love that supercharger whine! Now put a flowmaster under the back :)

  • Actually, it's got two Hooker Header Aerochambers in the vid. Flowmasters without a resonator tend to crackle badly on the L67.

The Aerochambers have a really mellow rumble at idle and cruise, but at high RPM WOT, it doesn't matter what muffler you have, it's always gonna sound like a chainsaw...

  • i got hooker aerochambers too. my exhaust set up is pacesetters, no cat, summit glass pack for a resonator, 3 inch exhaust all the way to aerochamber muffs. i like it compared to most exhaust set ups for the 3800 motor. no matter what you do though, these motors sound like crap lol
