una gran pelicula que me marco mucho cuando era un niño y que nunca olvidare el rostro de mi padre, con lagrimas en sus ojos, cuando la vimos en compañia de mi madre y mis hermanos
@vordox1 Fully agreed, Vordox!!! I was really moved by this film, and Mr. Douglas was remarkable! Wouldn't you think that with Michael's major successes since 1979, someone would release this gem on DVD?! "If we weren't all out of a job, then you certainly would be!" ~ Michael Andropolis Thanks for listening! Dave Lounder (Film Actor)
This movie was a monumental piece of crap. The acting was barely tolerable. The story line is melodramadic tripe. The only redeeming quality in the film was watching the bozo wipe out. I laughed my ass off. It almost made the waste of my time worthwhile.
O.M.G. I love this movie and have spent years searching for it, and telling all the marathoners that I know about it.This was a delight to have my favorite marathoner email this clip to me.....I really hope they re-release this movie...it's a classic.
Ok, the best moment in this movie occurs at 6:34. Saw this movie in the theatre and just burst out laughing at that most-crucial moment. And seeing it here tonight; well, what can I say, burst out laughing all over again.
I watched this movie many years ago on TV, when I was a teenager. I was impressed with the final part that after Michael tumble over, he still waddle through the street, striving to finish the game. Even knowing that he has no chance of any medal, but he still endeavour to pass the finishing line. Such kind of sportsmanship and endurance is honourable.

Really a great film, which I saw first more than 20 years ago, on VHS... A shame it cannot be found on DVD.
Thank you for this tribute.
