Ive tracked this stuff down over the years and Its always great to hear where they were coming from and just how much they have evolved and refined their styles...
Not exactly. The songs on this so-called "Old Tunes" release is allegedly a series of tracks scarcely distributed by BoC during their pre-Warp era, much like A Few Old Tunes. They were all untitled and thus their names "Audiotrack (Trackname) (Cassette Tape Side)".
Many of the tracks were distributed as Closes Vol.1 on P2P networks, however this is allegedly legitimate as they were originally "Found" by a high-ranking member of a Warp/BoC fansite (WATMM if I remember correctly.)

Early Aquarius (Version 3)? Same chorus used in Aquarius from the BoC Peel Session?
krunelune 2 years ago
@krunelune Indeed. At 2:43 in Aquarius (Version 3) is a sample of Audiotrack 12A.

Aren't a lot of these fake and not actually BOC tracks?

@DDRpwnerer Fun fact: The song "Numerator Original" from Closes Vol.1 is actually just a lame cover of Roygbiv, so that adds to the fake list!
