1 month ago, still summer time, still blazin and having a good time, this song came on during a tv show, i got stoned and rocked out to this song, know its a month later and i have school tomorrow...
I heard this song in a target commmercial and I completely fell in love with it so i just had to look it up and now Im very happy cuz this is my new fav. song!!!!
Back when men were still cute and had a relative innocence to them. Man, I miss those days. I was a kid in the 60's. What a great soundtrack for my life.
such a strong song .... love the bass the best ... i think that makes all the difference in the world ..... of course every instrument makes it the most different kind of sound at that time. never tire of hearing it!
I would love to know how many 'shrooms or trips they'd done that day. They look wasted in this vid.You don't get music like that these days do you? I wonder why that could be.....
@Swartzie6 we were in the air force stationed in fuchu japan from '65-'68 and didn't speak japanese, so we didn't bother to get a tv. so we listened to the 'armed forces radio' remember that? in the morning it was news, then when we got home from school it was all rock and roll clear through the night, (except for more news and some radio shows like dragnet) then i was 13 when we got to san jose ca. and status quo, zombies, turtles, hermans hermits, were playing, it was culture shock, ...
YES OUR GENERATION IS - I remember learning to play this song on my guitar by listening to it on the radio when it was being played in the top 40 back in the late 1960s. Music today is mostly pure crap.
this is a awsome video of yesterday and today.........thanks for sharing this timeless song also. Only one thing........it makes me feel older watching the "boys" mature!!!
OMG! I love his smile. Now to business...this isa classic. I learned how to play drums when I was 14 years old and this was actually the first song I learned. The Status Quo brings back good, good memories.
Very good One little thing wrong though. The keyboard player here is called Roy Lynes he left in 1970. I think youve put a modern day picture of his later replacement Andy Bown up in the clip as modern day.
Indeed. That was a time when you only had rock on AM radio and they played a wide variety of music. In New York we had the WMCA Good Guys and WABC with Cousin Brucie. One of the most memorable moments was coming home from church one snowy morning and hearing 'Strawberry Fields Forever' for the first time. That blew my twelve year old mind and changed me for life. What a great era for music.
If you ever want to show someone some true, good music, this is a great example
