  • Comment removed

  • I was wondering how they knew about the Austin Powers thing back then too. Anyone got any ideas on that?

  • @pattievogt That was dubbed in w/the upload. Austin Powers is the sole invention of Michael Myers......

  • They are having a great time! I love this! Easy song to try and copy, but there's only one Status Quo.

  • In the Nam smoking weed and listening to this song wondering if we would ever get back home alive...thats how strong that shit was

  • @Swartzie6 ..... the black butter?

  • @Swartzie6 we were in the air force stationed in fuchu japan from '65-'68 and didn't speak japanese, so we didn't bother to get a tv. so we listened to the 'armed forces radio' remember that? in the morning it was news, then when we got home from school it was all rock and roll clear through the night, (except for more news and some radio shows like dragnet) then i was 13 when we got to san jose ca. and status quo, zombies, turtles, hermans hermits, were playing, it was culture shock, ...

  • @Swartzie6 true man that is some true shit bro

  • @theean

YES OUR GENERATION IS - I remember learning to play this song on my guitar by listening to it on the radio when it was being played in the top 40 back in the late 1960s. Music today is mostly pure crap.

  • GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very good One little thing wrong though. The keyboard player here is called Roy Lynes he left in 1970. I think youve put a modern day picture of his later replacement Andy Bown up in the clip as modern day.

  • Its Right so. Sehe ich auch so

  • "Complete with Austin Powers outfits!" ROFLMAO!!! Love this song! Thanks for posting!

  • I loved this song when I was 12 and I love it today. What a great classic. Peace.

  • Indeed. That was a time when you only had rock on AM radio and they played a wide variety of music. In New York we had the WMCA Good Guys and WABC with Cousin Brucie. One of the most memorable moments was coming home from church one snowy morning and hearing 'Strawberry Fields Forever' for the first time. That blew my twelve year old mind and changed me for life. What a great era for music.

  • What a great song! Oh the memories..Thanks
