Old Secret Military Battery in San Francisco Bay Area

Could someone give me a hint as where to find it? Been looking for bunkers like this off and on for months in the bay area. Would make for a great photo project.

Cont...Many places outside were completely overgrown and impossible to make out the cement walls and floor. It was a fun trip down memory lane...the familiar smell of moldy concrete was great after all these years ;-).

...Continued. I didn't go inside this time. I was by myself, and given the kooks around these days, chickened out (having a family now changes priorities). The last time I went inside was 3-5 years ago. 30 years had taken it's toll...the concrete waterproofing tar they seal the roof with before covering it with dirt was failing, and a lot of ceiling tiles had fallen due to leaks. Took my second look around since 1980 when my high school buddy used to frequent it. Back then, the Army was using it for a phone switchboard and rec. room, but most rooms had little in them. One had some Cold War era Radiation Warning posters, first aid and survival supplies. When we would get in, the generator was still warm from the day shift use of the lights. Continued...

Actually I have only gone during the weekdays since the gates were open, but there are ways to get in on the weekends.. It is one cool if not the coolest bunkers I have been in. Keep us posted on your adventures.... It's a blast from the past!

Did you go during the weekdays? It seems like the workers in that area are usually gone on the weekends. But then, the fences are locked so it makes it more difficult to get in. Funny that I've been driving around this area for over a decade and lived in the area for another decade, and never knew about it. Thanks for your videos! They are helping me rediscover all these great sites.

@Madzie34 Great question...  This area is all fenced in, there were workers all around, so we had to sneak past the gates, workers and then find a way in without getting busted... It was a rush..

Fantastic video. That's a great find right there. Easily the best interior condition of any battery I've ever seen. Only one that comes close would be Alexander (at least before paintballers got to it :/ ). You ever scoped out Hawk Hill (that is before they started construction on Conzelman)?

@sabrepilot9000 We had a great time getting in and finding things to be in such good condition. Your video of the UE Meet was excellent and I liked the last bunker which we are excited to look for. Hawk Hill is on the list after the road re-opens and the Boys will go down with me into another new find we found access into. Hopefully this year

I figured it out. I used to live down the street from this Battery.  The Picture through the door gave it away and the type of brush that's overgrown. I'm gonna go take a look around and see if i can find the entrance. How Many times have you guys gone down there?

Very Cool.. I'm gonna have to go find this one next. Any hints?? Looks much cooler than Hawk hill one from Cities of the underworld. That one only took like an hour to find after i got the original building plans. Let me know
