  • Powder river precision man what an ultimate trigger for my xdm! Y'all have to check these guys out could not be happier I sent my xdm 3.8 9mm and my 4.5 45acp to them little over 300 for both ( kinda pricey) and was worth every penny!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks so much for the review! Not so many videos out on these great sights, definitely gonna pick up the tritium night sights version for my XD9

  • Love the tnp keep it up. I must say this is right up my ally, I have a XDM 9 and love it and I have the same problem. But with some kentucky windage I can stack holes all day :-) You need to check out Powder River Precision , I have there PRP ultimate Match Target Trigger for my XDM. Its a must for your project. The big thing for me is that it Reduces the long trigger pull. I did the install my self, I am shure you can to. I think i will be getting some new sights soon:-) Thanks for all you do .

  • these sights are sick!

  • Have you ever used xs big dot sights? That would be awesome if you did a review on them

  • How are those sights for conceal carry? They little a bit too large.

  • Love all four of my XD's!

What green jacket is worn at 04:58?

  • @USFA45LC That jacket is the Condor Soft Shell.

  • @pontiacmaniac2 ; Thank you.

  • @USFA45LC I think that might be the condor softshell he reviewed, or somthing similar.

  • Hey nutnfancy how did you determine how tall to buy the front site? Is that determined by the amount of drop or rise in your shot groups? BTW what carry holster do you use for your XDM with the taller sights?

  • Just came across a deputy who carries an XD and loves it. haha, clairvoyant timing! Thanks for sharing!

  • Splendid video

    Awesome music

    Very good looking sights

    :-) this is an A1

  • I am new to the NFP but I am really diggin the reviews... Very envious of your project... I have been sifting through some of your video's (very well done I must add) and I came across this one on the XDM... I too love my XDM... I am very happy with the POA on my gun however I was considering the XS sights until I saw this review. Have you ever reviewed or used the XS sights and if so how do these compare?

  • Wow, nutnfancy is reviewing good gear!

    Dawsons are the shit.

  • Wassup

  • I love the xdm, I can't wait for my 45 XDM comp to come in. Glad to see you do some reviews on this one.

  • Try the Federal HST rounds in your XDM. They are the most accurate in my XDM. Not cheap, but as you said......

  • To make it easy to install sights, boil some water and submerge the sight part of the slide for a minute or so. Immediately after you remove the slide from the hot water, grab an ice cube and apply it to the sight itself only. While doing this, use your punch to drive the sight out. Obviously the heat will cause the slide portion to slightly expand, and the ice will cause the sight to contract. Ive used this technique for custom mauser front sights and it has worked flawlessly.

  • @jjk1224 Now that is a smart technique! Again I learn a lot from you guys. I will try that next time, thanks man.

  • how do they match up against hi-viz in your opinion

  • Nice video

  • Love this music introducing and ending. Who is it ?

  • @MrRichardbryan This is TNPr Bryanism's music and he is very talented. It's "Interface."

  • Nutn reads my mind, I was just looking for precision sights for my XD !!!

  • @Kparris7 So glad I could help...I love these ones. Only improvement possible is would be integration of tritium.

  • WOW Nutn. Looking at the back of the gun in the close-ups. That gun is way off. Look at how far to the right the rear sight is. Great info for people who have a gun that can swap out sights, not just the XD series.

  • lol my XDm shoots high-left too, but i sold it to buy the 5.25 version... say hello to adjustable sights

  • Don't need sights when you can curve bullets like myself.

  • @ProGunTexan You are skilled!

  • Wish I had the money to shoot guns all the time like that :(

  • Nutn, I can’t “pardon your French.” Please keep the language clean so I can show your videos to the kids.

  • @GforceBK calm your tits. If you want to shelter your kids from "naughty words" I'd suggest the disney channel.

  • @TexasLegend93 bahahahahaha nice.

  • @thaddeusabear I mean seriously your kids going to hear those words eventually some day...plus if you explain that he was talking about a female dog then everything's OK and its no longer a "naughty word".

  • @TexasLegend93 Nice. Good to see a fellow Texan on Youtube.

  • @TexasLegend93 Thanks for having my back on that one Legend...nicely done. I'm human and as such I cuss once in awhile and like it.

  • Wish I could get an Xdm.. Ca blows.. I wish The Nra Could issue gun grabber free zones in Ca.. Thumbs up nutn,Take your time , have fun.. Best wishes to Ally

  • Wonder why Truglo doesn't make an adjustable TFO for the XD's?

  • Big fan of ameriglo hackathorns myself.

I've never found a set of sights that improved my shooting as much as those. They just match up well to my eyes.

  • You should just get the XDm 5.25, comes with adjustable sights

  • I use that same front sight on my sig p226 .22lr kit. It was shooting way low with the rear sight maxed out and I needed a taller sight. The xdm sight fits with only minor file work on the sig .22lr conversion. Just a heads up since I know nutn has reviewed that at one time.

  • I changed the sights on my .45 tactical and had no problems. They were easy to install.

  • Hey Nutn I see that you have an XDm in a blackhawk like holster at 2:41... Can you tell me what holster that is? I just got that od green gun yesterday and am having a hard time finding one. Thank you. PS hope Alli the mt dog is doing well and the fam.

  • My name's Dawson :D

  • i have trijicon night sights on my xdm 9....mine are dead on

  • always a pleasure watching your videos.

  • Never tried the Dawson sights. They might worth their weight in gold to me. You have not steered me wrong yet, I like the honest reviews. You are right they have a price to them. Thanks for the info.

  • Hehe, I love that you love one of my country's best products.

  • I also have the XDM 40, which I love by the way. I might have to say I like it more than my G17. I find the XDM trigger to be more crisp than my G17. I've only had one failure to go into battery on the first mag or so. Otherwise 100% reliable. The stock sights on my XDM are pretty much right on at the 0600 position. I do wish I did the night sight upgrade. I doubt I'll spend the money now to upgrade. Too many other guns on the wish list.

  • Very cool sights. I'm pretty happy with my results from the stock ones on my XD9 Sibbie so far though. I kind of wish I would have gotten the night sight version for low light though.

  • Thx for the vid very interesting as usual.

  • Timing on this vid couldn't be better. I have been wondering/considering putting some different sights on my XDM.

  • I'm running Ameriglo Ghost ring with red front Tritium I love them..

  • Very cool!

    Great sites...

Thanks for all your hard work.

  • 40 is a great cartridge and soooo affordable to shoot.

  • I use the fixed sight version on my G19. I love the narrow front blade. Well worth the money. I may put a set on my XD45.

  • Great video! If I could request a table top / field review, how about a Derringer Bond Arms .45 / .410ga? I always wondered if it is just a "second kind of cool" or if it has actual tactical utility.

  • Awesome vid. I picked up Dawson Front and Rears for my XDM-9 3.8 about a year ago.

    Very well made and durable.

  • Good review. I have had the same pistol for several years and it tended to shoot high left. Not as much as yours but still high left. I may look into this option as I like your results. Thanks for the info.

    Hope Allie is doing well.

  • Would you put these sights on your glock?

  • @10Tremors Our Glock sights are our #1 seller.

  • Dawson Precision is a first rate operation in Florence, TX 76527. I have been to Dawson Precision several times and have toured the production line. This is a first class operation. Dave Dawson lives on the property is there working daily. They stand behind everything they build. I can't say enough good things about Dave Dawson's operation and the people who work there. They have the time to talk and work with you. Satisfied customers from Temple and Belton Texas....

  • AAWWW...

i thought this was a family show ;)

  • Well how about the XS Big Dot sights?

  • @pock8size I'd like to see these reviewed as well. Thinking about going with XS for true combat sights.

  • With the intro, I thought Nutnfancy was going into the gun manufacturer business.

  • wrong gun, but what are some good iron sights for the AR nutn?

  • Cool sights, they look tall in the vid

  • Great review as always Nutn, very helpful. Would love to see a review of the Warren Tactical sights for Glock and/or the Warren Sevigny sights, heard lots of good things about them, would love to get your opinion on them :-) But I know you've got a lot on your plate, so no pressure!

  • haha i was just trying to load round 18 and 19 in my XDM 5.25 i cant my hand is wore out ? that free loader is not helping any tips ?

  • the dawson precision sights are awesome. i have them on my limited glock 35. They are the best in my opinion.

  • Hahahaha I remember LETC. You were waxing poetic about the XD series and someone asked if you were a Springfield rep. Too funny.

  • I am personaly not a fan of fiber optics , I have seen to many break.

  • Nice video! Love the adjustable feature.

  • Might you upload that footage of Yoda replacing the sites?

  • @MrSkater243 Check out our channel for videos featuring Dave Dawson showing you how to do sight installs.

  • @DawsonPrecision I definitely will, thanks for the advice.

  • Good Vid.!

  • @Djlaeon.

Unless your HK is shooting low and right.....

  • I'm so envious of someone with skill enough to note the gun's sights as problem rather than the shooter. I still long for the day when I can measure my groups in inches rather than feet ;-)

  • its an ugly gun...

  • Can someone give me the lowdown on what the differences between the XD and XDMs ?

    Thanks

  • @JQxSquared Hello! XDM is one of the variations of the XD pistol. Springfield Armory claims that this pistol is more precise and is better at target shooting. Another thing is the XDM has a minimal reset trigger wich makes it easier grouping the next shots. Plus the XDM has better texture on the frame wich means better control and better grip. You can also personalize the grip size.

And lastly, the case that comes with the pistol is more durable, haha! And of course the XDM cost more.

  • @JQxSquared ....the "M" means it has a match barrel...I think...

  • @JQxSquared Also the XDM has a higher mag capacity.

  • Wait, no cool still image lettering! Your slackin' nutn'. Haha.

  • Added a new acronym to my alphabet soup from this video...

SAWC = Space/Size and Weight Constraints

    :)

  • Wow, talk about synchronicity...I was just looking at the same issue with my XDm 45 (high and to the left). I have an HK45 that is dead on, which ruled out operator error. Will definitely be checking these out...

Btw, I think it's time for another camping/expedition load-out video!

  • Well...at least the sights will stay put/not move unless you really want it on the XD(M) series!

  • Yet another great video. Thanks!

  • Didn't you say something about anotating top right about where to go and how much?

  • I just got the same set of sights for my Glock 34. They are OUTSTANDING!!! By far the best aftermarket sights that I have ever used.

I shoot 1.5" groups at 15 yards all day long. Believe it!

Go and get a set, well worth it.

  • glad to see a table top review its been a while, any knives under $40.00 in the near future

  • I'm so happy you use realistic group size. Some guys shoot guns at 10yards with a group that looks good. But if the holes arnt touching then "its not very accurate".... whatever. If you can put rounds in a 5" circle at 15 yards in a decent speed off hand, your doing good.

  • so its official, you are down with the XDM's now?

  • Nutn has yet to put out a video that isn't informative and useful. Thank you man!

  • I have been running the Dawson Precision fiber sights on my XD40 for a good while now. They ARE well worth the $ and yes XD/XDM sights are difficult to swap out. The sights are so bright I've had a few non-gun people ask if I turned them on when I handed them the pistol. I have also tried Tru-Glows which I didn't care for and I just picked up a M&P with the VTAC sights that look to be promising for a carry / service gun.

  • good point Nutn, along the lines of "im not that rich to buy cheap stuff" paradigme

  • thamks for yet another awsome vid! but get that esee junglas review out :)

  • out source your time lol

  • Great vid!

  • The Xd(m) isssss awesome out of the box... Quote, end-quote.

  • I thought the XDM was supposed to be pre-optimized for accuracy...

  • The gun should have perfect sights right out of the box, that's a thumb down for the XDM in my opinion.

Well for this particular one at least, it could be just a melon among other good XDMs.

  • a nutnfancy video under 30 minutes, why I don't belive it, I want my money back LOL

  • The description reads 'high right', which should be 'high left'.

  • What is the part number for Gold Dot .40 "+Ps"?

  • @myantispambox - I don't know about Gold Dot, but Buffalo Bore has Heavy .40 Smith & Wesson +P Ammo - 155 gr. Jacketed Hollow Point(1,300 fps/M.E. 582 ft. lbs.) SKU: 23A/20. I wouldn't try them out in a stock Glock barrel, but an XD/XDM would probably be O.K.

  • Ah mais non, "kind of a bitch" is not french....

  • @smokinghull Si je l'utilise souvent.

  • Nutn, thanks for doing this video. I have an XDM .40 which I have had for a couple of years now. I love to shoot it and find it be very reliable. The only thing I have a problem with is the sights. If I am at the range on a good sunny day than everything is fine with my sight picture. However, if it is overcast then I have a hard time picking up my sights. Those Dawson sights seems to really pop and I believe would be better for my aging eyes. Great Video!

  • Glock that is... not flock

  • Personally, the 40 is not one of my favorites. Ballistic speaking, it is barely better than a 9 and if you want something better than a 9, there's the 45.

  • @Excalibur01 - Double Tap 180gr Nosler JHP @ 1100fps / 484 ft/lbs- Glock 23 (4.0"bbl). More power than 9mm & more capacity than a .45acp, makes it a great option.

  • @danieljosephtv I carried a sig 229 for 15 yrs as a duty gun. My wife was issued a glock recently. Its ulgy but it rocks. I love my sig but im getting another flock 4 me.

  • I love great sights...boy, they make all the difference.

  • Hmmm do they affect holstering?

  • ★★★★★

  • Try the Warren tactical...I prefer them in the stight 8 config. slighty over the heinnie's. But if you are looking for a 3dot config..go with the trijicon HD's.

  • Love those sights , very good choice! I run them on my glocks.

I also run the hackotorns too, which are supreme.

  • Comment removed

  • I would rather have them be a b#$%h to put on rather than have them come loose.

  • I know this probably the last thing to hear on the NUTNFANCY page but since the "great n dearest" UK to which I live in cant have pistols I am very excited about an airsoft inclusion of the Springfield XDm 40!! the only pistols i can fire here in the UK are the old cowboy black powder revolvers, not complaining i love it! we have such freedom in terms of what rifles we can fire etc but pistols!? no no no the government says!..so silly!

  • At 5:36 if you watch carefully you can see the spent casing zip by the camera in a split second. I don't know why i find that to be cool.

  • being right handed and left eye dominant sucks.

  • I'd say some of the high left for Nutn' is he has said he is a left eye dominate right-hand shooter. I have the same results on almost every pistol I shoot because I am the same way. Great vid. Keep up the good job.

  • I have an XDM 40 as well and not one problem with it..

  • Love the vids bro! But sometimes I feel like the intros are a little lengthy. Most of the time I skip till the actual video starts playing. It's really not much of a concern, just thought I'd throw it out there.

  • 17 yrds? I can do better than that...then I remembered what 17 yrds looked like.

  • honestly my xdm .40 is great right of the box its definitely point and shoot.

  • Have you seen any for the 1911?

  • Great looking gun but..... GLOCK GLOCK GLOCK...

  • @warddman Pick up a Walther P99/PPQ, might make you think slightly different.

  • @warddman another follower in the Plastic Brick Cult...

  • @warddman WE ARE THE BORG! RESISTANCE IS FUTILE!

  • He gets easily side tracked. Goes off on tangents too much.

  • @GreenLatern22 He does indeed. If that is not to your liking, bail now. --- Veri (Nutn's sister)

  • Thanks for all your hardwork!

  • i guess so. lol hay so i hear PFI Dude! right on!

  • @Z1pro nope. just chuck testa.
