  • I LOVE IT WHEN INDIAN MOVIES HAVE NAATS OR QAWWALIS! IT NICE TO LITSEN TO

  • they try to cover-up the atrocities committed by Akbar and the gang trough a bollywood movie. Big big shame. Fok dis movie

  • Atrocities? Go away nerd.

  • I know you probably were taught that the Indians where in some desperate need to be accompanied by your people. So you all came over, had a friendly chat, drank some tea and since then India has prospered like never before. Right ?

OK then tell me, how do you feel about the Americans or their Afghan opponents who brought their battle right into your backyard? Right!

  • Hmm. Well, I'm not Indian and i didnt really get what you said there but still violence will happen as it always has happened and it will keep happening forever. Its unstoppable.

  • btw this movie was awesome!!!! I loved it :)

  • Marhaba is the Arabic word for welcome, the reason its used in this movie is because their speaking in Urdu, although the movie was made by Indians. Urdu and Arabic have many similarities since the two languages mixed together. The reason for the usage of the Arabic word is because Akbar the great was a Muslim.

  • I love arabic its such a beautiful language and with amazing history? and marhaba isn't hindi

  • Awesome movie... not Boring it all. Excellent historical piece!! Amine--

  • Does marhaba in Hindi mean 'welcome' like Arabic?

  • Yes it does!

  • Thank you for your answer. It is amaizing how much Arabic Hindi has. Impressive!

  • Actually it isn't hindi but urdu where marhaba means the same as arabic.

    In hindi 'welcome' is 'swagatam'.

  • Thank you for clarifying. I thought the movie has a lot of Urdu, right?

  • AmericanSD - of course there is a lot of urdu in the film - for the mughals to speak, and hindi for the rajputs to speak. Their respective languages.

The people hadn't started speaking english yet ;-) as the stars seem to do all the time, in films and interviews etc.
