if you wanna feel a huge difference in performance the only way is to turbo-charge your way up!

otherwise you can do NA mods (headers,catback exhaust/intake), this would probably take about 5 to 4 seconds off your 0-100mph time, compared to other 4I camrys, you'd be quite fast.

i higly thought you could beat him if your engine is stock, and trust me i know because theres this guy around the corner from my house that just loves to race me in my rx7 1987(1.3 liter, bone dry stock) with a 327 malibu and I beat him everytime. You have to keep power to weigth ratio in mind before you go off trying to race some one with a smaller engine. 3800lb car with 250hp vs. a 2100lb 150hp car. Who do you think is going to win?
