  • I love the mod, but could you post the wire color and not the number. Thanks!

  • @snstay316 Hi & thanks for the comment.

The reason I left out the wire colors is because some (Dsub 9) cables use a different wire color scheme.

The best way to do this is use a multimeter set on continuity to find the pin numbers I posted in this video and write down their corresponding colors.

Btw, do you know what cable are you using?

  • Thomas you sir can mod anything. : )

  • @jboypacman lol ;) don't know about that. Thanks Jboy!

  • Bro..... you are the Mod-Master!!! This is quickly becoming one of my favorite channels man!!! Keep 'em coming dude =)

  • @stratamaster78 Not at all Heath. Thanks for the comment :)

  • Awesome mod, Thomas! Keep up the good work! :D

  • @ClassicGamer82 Thanks Billy :)

  • Great mod video Thomas, was this the same mod you did when I sent you those controllers a couple of months back? I still haven't had time to fiddle with them on the 7800 yet.

  • @OldSchoolNYCGamer Thanks Sid, yeah same ones :)

  • @thomas3120 - Kick ass! = )

  • I have two copies that Thomas generously donated to me and I love them. I don't even use the Best Electronics Europad anymore because these are so much better. Awesome work Thomas :)

  • @atarileaf Thanks J! Glad you like them :)

  • well done man, looks really good. Gotta love these mods. Im over my head with some of the stuff that Im doing recently lol.

  • @lukemorse1 Thanks Luke :) & thanks for the comment.

Hope everything's ok with you with all the recent events happening over there.

  • Thats a really cool mod I use the master system controller once in a while but the nes one would be better for sure I may have to give this a shot.

  • @SpinTheDemon Thanks, It's been a while..I think you have to do a similar mod on the sms controller to get both buttons to work on the 7800

  • @SpinTheDemon I can see that I use it with the 2600 games for the most part and Ms. Pac-man 7800 I may have to try this here soon

  • cool. sega Genesis controller is better tho :p

  • @daafies2 Thanks :) ...for playing games or the other mod?

  • @thomas3120 for playing games. :) but the nes controller feels better than the euro atari7800 joypad. in any case. great job.

  • @daafies2 Yeah, I have the CX78 joypads...better than the 7800 prolines, but prefer the NES pads :)

I think the Genesis pad and NES are 2 of my favorites (& especially for using/modding on the older systems).

  • Awesome mod here, and I can't wait to play my Atari games with this controller! I just can't thank you enough thomas :)

  • @TheAtariJunkie Thanks Jesse & np :)

  • nice mod man. how did you learn to do all these mods.

  • @jondez1011 Thanks :) On this one, I just took apart a 7800 proline controller and drew up a rough diagram, I looked up the value of the resistors just to be sure.

  • OHHHHHHHHHHHH MANNNN!!

  • @WorthyouruniverseHD Hey Danny :) lol..that exciting? ;)

  • @thomas3120 makes me weak in the thighs x,x

    Atari7800 (dot) com

  • @DeviousTelevision Thanks & np :)

And very cool website you have :D

  • I'd love to see something for the Atari 5200! Some really great games, but those joysticks...man....

  • @Bp323 Yeah, I've been looking at the 5200 controller stuff on the net. Seems to be a few different kinds of controllers you can use for different games.

  • Dude, if you wana do something awesome, find a way to have a NES controller work on Atari 5200.

  • @thatguyontheright1 I believe some people have taken old pc gamepads and made them work on the 5200. Only problem is the 5200 controller(joystick) is analogue and most other gamepads like the NES, etc.. are digital. With the analogue joystick you have different speeds and if converting it to digital you may end up getting maybe the max speed all the time?...not sure yet, I'll check it out though :)
