Plastic will only break up into smaller plastic particles until it is washed out into waterways and ultimately ends up into oceans where marine wildlife eat it. Then we eat the fish (or whatever) and the plastic ends up in our systems. The plastic might 'break down' but the plastic molecules will always remain.
I'm glad they switched it back. I'm not against keeping our planet clean, but my ears are just a little more sensitive than others', so the infinitesimal difference that I would make buying those bags didn't quite outweigh the annoyance of my ears being destroyed each time I open the bag...

Those bags were suppose to be good for mother earth (well easily decomposable... you could recycle them or toss them with food scarps... it was nice... well... I don't exactly see why so many people are annoyed by the fact that somebody made a video about an actually loud bag of chips, although I agree that this bag has to be seen from the bright side: It's biodegradable and if all bags were that loud, the ratio of fat children in the USA might actually drop...

I held off my craving for these for 30 minutes so far because the noise of the bag is SO annoying!! Took a quick vid using my BB, but it's still loading and I wanted to show my friends WHY this bag is SO obnoxious- thanks for assisting in nixing the wait time ;) I finally braved tearing it open and now I'm rubbing my poor ears before I'll be able to eat the damned delicious chips.
