@meesterfonnyboy Yes, I have that recording, I'll post it to UT asap...I turn on Elvis Presley and my daughter scream, I fear she have a nervous breakdown 'cause of heem, I wonder why he wiggle-waggle to dee beat, as a boy he must have had a loose bicycle seat...Oh, Tele-vee-shun, Tele-vee-shun...Videotape--- may help somewhat...but is it art?...don't make me laugh! Gotta love Mr. Freberg!
One of my first memories of ABC Classic FM was hearing a stereo version of this song (obviously from an LP) on this station in 1977 when I visited my grandparents in Geelong. It was on a Silver 3-in-1 stereo when FM first came out, it also had a Garrard turntable (which played 78s, grandpa used played a few of these on this stereo).

This guy is brilliant. And the song is even truer today than in the 1950s.

@SenorZorrozzz - There is a different 'take' issued on cd - which has that in it - it doesn't have a fadeout ending either

I don't have it, and have never heard it, but I'd like to. Hopefully someone out there might have it & could up-load it(perhaps as a video responce)
We didn't get TV in Australia until 1956/57, so I doubt it was ever issued here.

My dad recorded one of his LPs with this song on it to cassette in 1980, that was the first time I heard it and I loved it!
