  • newton is better it has real time destruction not pre-broken

  • where do i get this??

  • You don't unless you're a developer. Havok licenses the use of the software to big developers to use on one project and that costs thousands of dollars.

  • oh, can i torrent it?

  • Doubtful. Only software developers get it and I can't imagine a software dev would steal it just to release it on the net. You have to realize it's not a piece of software...it's an SDK (software development kit). It took several programs and a couple days work just to make this simple demo.

  • oh, then stuff that xD

  • and besides you need a pretty damn powerfull computer to do all this

  • fair enough lol

  • geomod 2.0 destruction owns this.

  • Back that up.

  • Total destruction,Even though havok was implemented with it in rfg the destruction is far better than this.If you think this peforms better in destruction simulation what crack are you on?

  • Shit. Sorry. that wasn't me. i've got to have a talk with my friend.

  • geomod 2.0 is old tech made more efficient.

  • I think everything is pre-broken there though.

  • you mean in geomod?

Yeah I think so, gameplay with rf:g looks that way.

  • Yeah. I think everything is pre-broken during the map compiling process or something.

  • i wanna hear the answer ...

  • DMM is far better :D

  • is this downladoable??? or anything like that???? PLEASE

  • is pretty good but it still cant beat dmm

  • true... I wish DMM would be implemented into more games.

  • And the answer isss.....?

  • juaa!!

  • ... i want the answer of the qestion but seems to be vrry interesting software

  • I hope this turns in2 a plugin for 3ds max...

  • There's a pixelux dmm plugin for maya, which does the same thing

  • Aww, I wanted to hear him answer the question

  • Me too

    arrgghh

  • Im sorry but there is 100000 other questions I would rather see answered. He asked about the internal texture of the broken pieces and their UVS? Do you think its procedural or something, that would be overkill, its probably just a simple rubble texture applied at a specified scale. I'm more curious to know whether the pillars were modeled into hundreds of pieces then simply the physics engine takes over or what...

Or is it breaking it up procedurally

  • the whole point of this demo is to demonstrate that models need not be made in several separate peices any more.

  • juaa!!
