Do you have techniques for that, or do you make the tracks and just play them?

@z0diak1990 It's not something I focus on, but I've done a few tests with Audiosurf and there are a few things you can focus on. Just make sure you're filling up the sound spectrum evenly and that your track has a good dynamic range to it. As far as I know, there's no way to intentionally cause a corkscrew. Also, adding the [as-steep] tag to id3 tags makes the tracks steeper in-game. :3

@The1AndOnlyPopper Thanks! The vocal was recorded in Sound Forge before being dropped into Melodyne for some cleanup and rearrangement. After that the vocal was added to the track and processed with Voxengo Voxformer and NI Guitar Rig - just some light distortion and some delays and reverbs. :)

Great track. Aside from recording instruments and vocals, do you use any dedicated hardware like mixers or is a lot of the work manipulated with software like Buzz and VST plugins? (If that is the correct wording. I don't know much about music production.)
