OMG Girl! I have both of Kevin's books too! I started doing make up when I was 16 and going to Rocky Horror, I later joined the cast. I'm completely self taught too. I remember when I used to think cotton swabs worked for applying eye-shadow, and then one day I noticed these things called BRUSHES sitting on a shelf and thought "huh, now that makes sense". lol I also pull a lot inspiration from J-rock, it started with Malice Mizer and X-Japan, and went from there.
