  • I agree, but it is not the Govenor's decision ONLY to make a decision. He may have the casting vote, but he doesn 't have the SLOE vote, if the other people in his congress vote to accept the money, he should accept the decision. The Govenor is playing politics at a time when the residents of the state are suffering with high unemployment.

Is it not coincedental that two Republican Govenors said they werenot going to accept the stimulus money, Bobby Jindahl being the other govenor?

  • He should do the fly up on his suit - not file a suit! hahahahahahahahaha

  • I think his wife will be the next one to file a lawsuit to 'stop the stimulus' - if you know what I mean!! har-de har har har har y'all know w'at uh mean? ha ha ha

  • Mark Sanford / Ron Paul 2012

  • sounds like a good choice for america,to bad it wont happen, tho i wish it would

  • This is vexing. I know nothing of the governors state, and I have a firm understanding of what I believe to be the concept of subsidiarity. If the state legislature says the state should accept the funds, then why should the governor reject it? I do agree with Sanford, the stimulas is wrong, and hope he runs for president, and yet, if the people of his state wish to be enslaved by the stimulus then, so be it.

  • The lawsuit actually has nothing to do with the stimulus. It has to do with the fact that the governor is supposed to have the authority to make that decision, yet the legislature is trying to force him into it. That goes above and beyond their constitutional authority. As he said, why even have a governor if the legislature is going to just tell him what to do? Also, it is the governor's job to do what is right for his state regardless of what the polls say right now.

  • Thanks.

  • yall really need an external mic. sound is always hard to hear. a cheapo mic from 1978 would do just fine. no need to spend too mutch ;)

  • Governor Sanford, I am in agreement with your actions and words. Duane Christopher
