The Yankees sucked smaller than life back then. As far as I'm concerned they're still sorry. Go Tigers close 'em out tomorrow in 2011. A-Rod is a fraud
Holy crap does this bring back memories. The Yankees sucked and no body went to their games. The upper deck was completely empty. Wow. Seemed like it was only yesterday.
Exactly as I remembered it growing up...sneaking down to the good empty seats up front - ushers didn't care then, chatting with the players (or yelling at them) , cheering anything Yankees but especially Donnie Baseball....the classic Hitachi, Marlboro, and BonTon signs...the great train race on the scoreboard along with yesterday's highlights and great moments in baseball history....even remember that Tettleton batting stance, which if you think about it, wasn't so differnet than Mattingly's.
Nice!!!!

Worst part about 1992 is that Alan Trammell missed almost the whole season

Thanks for posting, great trip down memory lane. No one ever seems to remember those lovable losing teams that I for one grew up with.
