Either you love it or hate it Ninja Gaiden is a great hack and slash series and was always known for its hardcore difficulty. Back in the days Ninja Gaiden and Halo were the only reasons to own a Xbox.
this game is amazing.. iv just bought it and played it for about 3 hours and it was phenomonal. the graphics are alot better and, like in the old one, my favorite part is that ryu has such a big selection of weapon styles.
Its a challenging game,only because the camera view when fighting is super stupid. So I disagree on it only being in confined areas.The camera angles suck!!
Now that the Wii 2 is coming soon (& basically the other 2 new consoles within a year after) I have to say looking back this generation's single player games were totally garabge by large. You had oblivion,bioshock, mass effect, mgs4 & gears of war for story games, thats about It. All anyone raelly did was play CoD multi 24/7 or world of warcraft & Wii Sports..thats depressing for a future.The big money is in the buisness now corny hollywood soundtracks & casuals, there goes the last good hobby!

I own both, and I prefer to play racing games and FPSes on the 360 controller, while the PS3 controller feels better for hack and slash games and platformers. @MetalMarioFist LittleBigPlanet is amazing, Infamous is better then Prototype(which is also on PS3), MAG is average, GOW is beast. Yeah, it's a button smasher, but it perfects it. Thats like saying Halo is just an FPS, when it's not. Halo revolutionised online for consoles, just like GOW revolutionised storytelling in a videogame.

I used to love this game on the NES. I just ordered this game for for the PS3 for $12 on Amazon. I wanted it when it first came out on the Xbox but I never bought it. I'm glad I waited. I remember when they came out with improved graphics for the SNES on NInja Gaiden Trilogy. I guess Ninja Gaiden always likes to reissue their games as updated versions. lol
and also awesome frame rste and animations. my all time favorite but i've only completed it 2x lol.....once normal once hard. right now im highscoring normal mode yh! over 500k chapter 1 lol...plannin to get top 50 if i have time

Am i the only one that thought this game was crap. I rented it cause on the box it said how rad it was and then i played it and i found that it controlls like shit and the camera just made it difficult. Lots of dying involved and therefore current loading which is frustrating when your last savepoint was ages before you died. And how suckass was the story!!! one minute im fighting a big black dude with a huge sword and then im dead. Then all of the sudden im on a god damn Zeppelin????
i just recently picked sigma up along with sigma 2. this was a great game. ending was hard tho. sigma 2 is the one to purchase. IF YOU WANT NINJA GAIDEN GET SIGMA 2 1st. it has more replay & cooler features!

@MetalMarioFist I know each console has pros and cons. But it's 2010, and the 360's flaws are catching up. They have outdated hardware. I mean, it took them 4 and a half years to incorporate Wi-Fi onto the 360. Theb 360 is more like the original XBox. Sure, it's more powerful, obviously, but they didn't go on Sony's route and completely re-design what a game console does. PS3 is built for the future. 360 was built for an early head start on WII and PS3, and that gap is closing.
@b34ntown4life The PS3 better improve on it's online then because I hate the online for the PS3. You need a separate headset and there's not many online games that are not on the PS3. Also why does everyone hate on the 360's exclusives when the PS3's where some of them are just polar opposites.

Yup thats right. It did start out as Newbies or Newbs its just shortend for new player. The increasinlgy shortend versions of this are due to just conveinience. ya personally i never played the original for xbox so im very pleased with this one! the graphics are nice enough, and the action is very intense. its a very good challenge and it's hard to put down. i recomend this to anyone!
NG2 was disappointing it story was lackluster and too hard for it's own good NGS is way better than NG2 and have respect for PS3 which is beating 360 went better games , better experience and overall an awesome system 360 is good with good exclusive but not that good for a PS3 owner to trade a PS3 for 360

1 DMC4 is 1 game we still have DMC1 ,2 & 3 which are better than DMC4 ( except DMC 2 ) we still have FF versus XIII which is better and MGS4 will never be ported it's to much for the 360 to handle . Sigma isn't scraps since it's the best of the 3 and is better than it's sequel . Halo 3 wasn't what 360 owners were promised Gears 2 bigger badder & more cheesy all looks no real value . and yes sales PS3 beating 360 in japan , europe and other countries
A few months of sales after a price cut hardly count. The recent sales figures show 360 back on top, and it never lost its lead in overall world sales. And you can keep DMC 123 and Versus. Point is all these major developers are shifting sides to 360. They're going where the money is. And as for Sigma, I don't know why you're gloating about a SECOND remake of an Xbox game we had years in advance. And yea Halo 3 and Gears 2...their sales speak for themselves. many copies were sold but both failed moving systems it moved few but PS3 games did sell systems and if all major developers are leanings to 360 than why Rockstar games want to put GTA5 to PS3 exclusive & why is Techmo now making a PS3 only game that isn't Ninja Gaiden and why is capcom going to PS3 to make PSN exclusive and if developers are going were the money is than that means it's the PS3 because there selling more games on PS3 than 360 and PS3 has been selling better than 360

Not only that but Square Enix just announced they're opening development studios in the US and Koei is porting two of their PS3 exclusives. I guess we can both name exclusives and industry news until the cows come home. And there's more coming down the pipe lines everyday. And we'll have to agree to disagree about the sales figures. Mass Effect 2 & Splinter Cell 5 will be multi for obvious reasons but Alan Wake is still exclusive but PS3 has Heavy Rain . koei can't port anything since there is no exclusive games on PS3 made by Squere . and sure lets look overall PS3 17millon in it's 2 years . 360 21million in it's 3 years

I used to love this game on the NES. I just ordered this game for for the PS3 for $12 on Amazon. I wanted it when it first came out on the Xbox but I never bought it. I'm glad I waited. I remember when they came out with improved graphics for the SNES on NInja Gaiden Trilogy. I guess Ninja Gaiden always likes to reissue their games as updated versions. lol

Am i the only one that thought this game was crap. I rented it cause on the box it said how rad it was and then i played it and i found that it controlls like shit and the camera just made it difficult. Lots of dying involved and therefore current loading which is frustrating when your last savepoint was ages before you died. And how suckass was the story!!! one minute im fighting a big black dude with a huge sword and then im dead. Then all of the sudden im on a god damn Zeppelin????

And i know how the fanboys feel like, i only used to own the PS3 and was like 'this shits better' but i had many more reasons to justify why it was compared to the 360, now i have the 360 and still think PS3 is better. To both console owners, saying 'stop the war' isnt going to stop it, its like me going to iraq and saying that and getting shot in an instant. Both consoles are good but i gaurente more ppl will be getting more games for their ps3 between 09-10 than the 360.

Metacritic has Left 4 Dead 2, fucking left 4 dead! Its a good game, but c'mon whos going to brag about it? PS3 had Infamous, Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, LittleBigPlanet GOTY, Demons Souls, and Ratchet and Clank. This year they released God Of War 3, Mag and Heavy Rain. Also the best MLB sim, MLB 10:The Show. @MetalMarioFist I know each console has pros and cons. But it's 2010, and the 360's flaws are catching up. They have outdated hardware. I mean, it took them 4 and a half years to incorporate Wi-Fi onto the 360. Theb 360 is more like the original XBox. Sure, it's more powerful, obviously, but they didn't go on Sony's route and completely re-design what a game console does. PS3 is built for the future. 360 was built for an early head start on WII and PS3, and that gap is closing.

@b34ntown4life The PS3 better improve on it's online then because I hate the online for the PS3. You need a separate headset and there's not many online games that are not on the PS3. Also why does everyone hate on the 360's exclusives when the PS3's where some of them are just polar opposites.

Yup thats right. It did start out as Newbies or Newbs its just shortend for new player. The increasinlgy shortend versions of this are due to just conveinience. Such as Noob is not shoorter but is easier to type than newb due to the 2 Os basicaly just slightly faster to type and it seems to be more comenly used these days.

ya personally i never played the original for xbox so im very pleased with this one! the graphics are nice enough, and the action is very intense. its a very good challenge and it's hard to put down. i recomend this to anyone!

We took your Devil May Cry and we jacked your Final Fantasy. All you have left is MGS4, and I'm just waiting for the day that gets ported. 1 DMC4 is 1 game we still have DMC1 ,2 & 3 which are better than DMC4 ( except DMC 2 ) we still have FF versus XIII which is better and MGS4 will never be ported it's to much for the 360 to handle . Sigma isn't scraps since it's the best of the 3 and is better than it's sequel . Halo 3 wasn't what 360 owners were promised Gears 2 bigger badder & more cheesy all looks no real value . and yes sales PS3 beating 360 in japan , europe and other countries

A few months of sales after a price cut hardly count. The recent sales figures show 360 back on top, and it never lost its lead in overall world sales. And you can keep DMC 123 and Versus. Point is all these major developers are shifting sides to 360. They're going where the money is. And as for Sigma, I don't know why you're gloating about a SECOND remake of an Xbox game we had years in advance. And yea Halo 3 and Gears 2...their sales speak for themselves. many copies were sold but both failed moving systems it moved few but PS3 games did sell systems and if all major developers are leanings to 360 than why Rockstar games want to put GTA5 to PS3 exclusive & why is Techmo now making a PS3 only game that isn't Ninja Gaiden and why is capcom going to PS3 to make PSN exclusive and if developers are going were the money is than that means it's the PS3 because there selling more games on PS3 than 360 and PS3 has been selling better than 360

Not only that but Square Enix just announced they're opening development studios in the US and Koei is porting two of their PS3 exclusives. Mass Effect 2 & Splinter Cell 5 will be multi for obvious reasons but Alan Wake is still exclusive but PS3 has Heavy Rain . koei can't port anything since there is no exclusive games on PS3 made by Squere . and sure lets look overall PS3 17millon in it's 2 years . 360 21million in it's 3 years
