$50,400,000,000,000... Uhmm, How the heck did he come to this number? On the basis that there is an even distribution between men and women and both receive the same number of hair cuts per year we can assume the average price of a haircut is $30. Now assuming that the average person receives 4 haircuts per year (low to account for those who don't cut their hair) we come to $120/year on haircuts. $120*350,000,000pop = $42,000,000,000... Yeah I don't get his guestimate...
@philippe4141 yer...why don't you watch the rest of the video and see that $50.4 trillion was to illustruate that you should do a reality check. His answer at the end was $75 Billion.
Honestly, I think the information in this video is great. However, when advising on something as high profile as management consulting, why is the video so poorly made? Where is the attention to detail? This is the equivalent of saying, hey guys, I know how to make a great company, but haven't the slightest clue about how to inspire confidence in my brand. This reflects poorly on Vault and as a result call its integrity into question. The world is going digital. Focus on quality content.
...all females on average spend $400/yr? No - adult middle-class women might, but the average for their demographic will be far above the overall average, especially since the rich don't waste that much money on haircuts to compensate for the frugality of the poor and the young. I would have thought that more detail like that would be useful as opposed to guessing numbers... the sad thing here is that a smart child would answer these reasoning questions better than most grads
I had this kind of question for an interview (non-grad, just a uni program). The question was "How would you find out how many koalas there are in Australia?".
I sorta missed the point of this kind of question and started by saying that it's important to get an expert in to help you! LOL. But then as I was talking it through I explained that it would be good to take it state by state, and count the habitats in an area and extrapolate.

Try Askvisory (google it) to help you earn money / finding clients / that pay you for telephone consultations.
You can also find other experts to speak with (by phone) to give you deep industry insights. Isn't it easier just to speak to someone in the industry?
